3 Retention Deals

Well i got the PAC for one of my Three mobiles at the end of May (i have another due in October and i am actually looking to get a third), as previously they had only offered me deals that were available on the website; as they have done to many others on this thread.
It seems that the people with better offers were actually called by Three staff. I've been waiting for 3 to call me but haven't heard anything..probably due to my opt out of receiving marketing calls (which I only just found out from my account details)0 -
atro - I don't believe the U880/890s can be unlocked very easily, and if you did the performance would be patchy. This was from an unlocker, who advised against it. I thought I was going to lose the use of my beloved black U880, then retentions gave me the old £5 a month for life on it back in November......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple0 -

Thats sad news. I too liked ther black u880 a very nice phone.
Dont think they will be offering me a deal after writing to the CEO Bob Fuller in Glasgow. Although I was polite I told him I thought that they had a good product which his poor staff were letting down!!
I have now moved to Vodafone who offered me better phones and same contract that 3 were offering me!Be ALERT - The world needs more LERTS0 -
Further to my post earlier, i have just phoned up as the 2 new phones didnt get delivered today. I was told there was a delay with a few phones but they would be here Monday. So i asked to have the delivery charge waived which they have agreed to.
While on the phone i also asked to get reminded how much it would be if i wanted the N95 as i couldnt remember it if was £75 or £85. She went to check and came back and told me that if i had an 18 month contract then i could have it for free. So the cost of another 6 months to me is £30 as its just £5 a month. So im having that instead. I personally feel after having had an N80 i would be more used to that. I wasnt confident enough to spend money on it but as i can have it for free now i may as well give it a try. I just have to refuse delivery of my silver 6500 and then they will send it out.
So i just hope i have made the right choice.
I would be interested to know what others would choose out of the 6500 or the N95. Not sure if its allowed on this thread tho.0 -

I'm in the same position and I've been waiting on a call from them. Can you tell me was this offered from a UK person or via the Indian call centre? Wondering whether to try over the weekend or wait until next week to call?0 -

Not only that, but if it was the Indian call centre did they call you, or you call them?0 -

Sorry but im not sure who it was. I phoned from my landline though (my phone im unable to use the keypad) on the 08707 330 333 number for customer services. Im sure they were foreign but certainly spoke good english and i had no problems being understood or understanding them and they were very helpful. Hope it goes well for you.
Btw, all contact i have made with three has been by me phoning them and each time on the above number.0 -

My contract ends the same time as yours (roughly) and im after the same phone (n95) or a w910i SE so we shall have to keep each other updated on who gets what !!
Although im only willing to pay what i am at the moment, £15 so not expecting great offers ,

further to the above, i contacted the call centre and went through to upgrades and got a really aggressive guy called Benedict who offered me the same as new customers get, ie £17 p/m for 300 texts/mins + w910i when i pointed this out he said new customers have to pay for the phone, eh ??
After several calls where i made it clear that i would cancel if i couldnt get a 'good' deal i was offered the w910i for a 12 month contract for £22 p/m
Then came yesterdays call, again from benedict, where he did me the massive favour of offering the k660i for £15 p/m 300 texts/mins
Im only interested in the w910i and when i told him i could get it on orange for a 12 month contract for £15 equivilent he said why would i want to change supplier ? BECAUSE THEY ARE BLOOMIN CHEAPER
Anyway his attitude just decided it for me and i signed up to a contract with orange, i will just let my 3 contract run its course and cancel in august, ive got some credit going on there for RAF anyway so wont be costing me anything.
After reading about the guy getting an n95 8gb for £10 p/m on hotukdeals i was hopeful of at least a halfway decent offer !

Hi all, I am 2 years into an 18 month contract(I know should have done something before now
) thats for 100mins, 100texts for £20/month and I very rarely go over this or spend on anything else.
I phoned up 3 from my handset on 333 and went through to the disconnections and asked for my PAC, after a brief discussion about why I want to leave, he asked me what I wanted and I asked about the N95 8GB, he said I could have it for £30 one off payment staying on my current tarrif for another 18 months.
Now the advice I need is :- Is this good? Or is there a better deal for a nokia N95 8GB out there:D?
Thanks0 -
A simple question here.
I am partially-hearing but can use a mobile with no problems except trying to decipher ethnic accents (not being racist here) especially trying to get through call centres whether it be on mobiles or landlines which are very often when they try to sell you something you don't bloody want in the first place!
I am only a couple of days from the end of my 12 months contract and wish to renew it for something akin to the one I have now which is 500 mins talk and 100 texts for 15gbp per month. I am quite happy with my K800i and each time I try to go to my local 3 Store, I'm offered a new phone and a p**s poor contract of either the current 300 or 500 talk/text package. I am happy with the existing one and would like to retain the same BUT for a lower monthly fee (loyalty thing). With being partially-hearing I am rather reluctant to phone them up as I have said before, it will be difficult to understand them!
have tried to use the 3's Live Chat only to be told that its for new connections only and not upgrades. Where does that leave me in terms of getting a new contract? Should 3 be taken to task for failing to provide reasonable access under the Disability Discrimination Act?
Has any one else suffered the same misfortune as me when trying to contact mobile companies or not? People will say that if one is deaf how on earth can they hear? Bear in mind that many who suffer from total hearing loss would use their mobile to text hence going for a texting package whereas people like myself can hear others whose voices are familiar and easier to undertand. No matter if one mention to callers at the other end that one is partially-hearing, they have perhaps no experience of speaking clearly and more so if their accents are not what is understandably english!
Any suggestions on how I can get a better deal for my soon to be expired contract please? I have a few ideas on phones I would like such as the N95 (am told battery life is poor) and a few others whilst still wishing to stay on the current tariff. I am happy to drop 50 texts off the 100 I get as I only use about 20 a month tops. Should I call their bluff and obtain a PAC?
Suggestions (nice ones please!) are most welcome.
Thanks for looking and hopefully answering my queries.Better in my pocket than theirs!0
