3 Retention Deals
Comments

3 doesn't offer Nintendos or any other hardware incentives, except Slingboxes which were part of X-Series Gold. So whoever called you was not from "3" retention team. We are talking network "Retension deals", as per title.
But how does that explain the fact when I rang them back directly (through 3 customer services) they knew the exact details of the deal I was offered???0 -

I am very sure it was them, since it was the exact same person that I called when I called them. Maybe they've just started offering them?0 -

It was with the Nokia 6220.0 -
Right, I've finally sorted my new contract.
I have got 750 mins, unlimited texts, 25 video calls, 50 mms texts, £5 downloads, Unlimited Internet on a Nokia 6220, with a free Nintendo DS. All for £18, which I thought was pretty good. :j
I spoke to the floor manager and he wouldnt budge on £20 for nearly and hour, but when he finally passed me back to the cancellation dept, they said he agreed to £18.0 -
thats pretty decent, is that a 12 or 18 month contract?Waddle you do eh?0

Wow, if i could get all that i'd be biting their hand off lol, i'm only interested in texts, downloads and internet on my contract, spend 35 mins on the phone to cancellations dept. Best offer was Mix n Match 500 for £18 (same as new customer offer). Eventually got them to accept my notice + requested to revert to PAYG at contract end. Now to wait and see what happens - If all else fails, O2 here i come! :rotfl:0 -
Well that's the first phonecall - Just as i was walking in the door from work
400 mins
250 texts
25 vid mins (don't use)
25 mms
£5 downloads
£15/month
or
250 mins
50 texts
£5/month for life
both with the skype phone (nu-uh!)
from everyone's experience what sort of deal do you reckon i can expect from a £45/month average spend - have quoted the O2 prepay deal as i want to keep my spend to under £20/month. i've requested my contract be changed over to PAYG when it ends so i can decide about porting the number. Politely refused those offers as i want an internet bolt-on included if possible and a fairly decent phone - don't want much do i?0 -
I've got 1 month left on a 12 month loyalty contract of 500 mins and 100 text at £10 pm without phone, three is offering me same tariff with sony ericsson w530i or Nokia 3120 on 12 months contract at £10pm.
I asked for the Nokia 6500 but they gave me the deal on their website, i will put a request for cancellation and to convert line to pay as you go. and then hold on to see the offer they will give meThough the vision may not be the true future of man but it can't be completely beyond his control.0 -
It looks like we are going to cancel the wifes contract today, and are looking at the 02 sim only deal of £20 pm,which will give her 600 mins, and unlimited texts.Plus if she adds a bolt on,which is £7.50,she also gets free 02 to 02 calls.
http://shop.o2.co.uk/tariffs/sim_only
Her current deal with 3,is £15 pm,and for that she gets 500 mins, and 100 texts.
So why go for a more expensive plan, you may ask?
Well,I'm on 02,and the eldest daughter, who has left home,is also on 02,and at the moment the wife is currently overstepping her 3 allowance, which is rendering the current contract expensive, because she is always on the phone to the daughter,or texting her.
All we need to do now,is get her 6288 unlocked, and away we go.
If she decides to get another contract at a later date,as she would be a new customer to a network, she would probably get a better deal than she can right now as an existing customer.
Ken.That's my mutt in the picture above.0
