Just OH and me for dinner to-day, have just taken an uncooked turkey leg out of freezer, not sure what to do with it, soup on with stock from yesterday's lamb, bread proving in kitchen, seem to have eventually got the hang of kneading it without too much mess, so BM is in cupboard.

Hugs to all in need or want, have a good day

Take the bone out of it and fill the leg with stuffing, secure with cocktail sticks and roast as you would normally until the juices run clear, serve with either roast or mash and veg.

Thanks Aussie, will be extra careful with them. I was going to post a 'thumbs up' pic but can't use pics, smilies, thanks etc at the mo.Well I've got the computer up and running, it's full of adware, spyware and all sorts of problems. No wonder he was quick to give it away lol. I've got all sorts of things running to fix the problems, I'm nearly done. Obviousy I won't tell him that it's all fine, I don't want to chance him asking for it back lol. My freezer's here YAY.

Afternoon all! Lovely day again so I've been out -make hay while the sun shines.......forecast for the west of the week isn't so good.

Bought a few more bits for my christmas/birthday baskets bit only spent £2.80 so no bad I thought (patting self on the back..........lol) Actually got rid of a few bits down there as well and took more things than I brought back. Charity bag is being collected on Friday so I'll fill that up with the rest and that'll be a few more things out of the way.............I'll get to see the floor in here eventually...............lol

Our youngest boy came home last night about 6pm with his brother -takes brother to the bus stop at 9pm - went back with him on the bus:mad:
Refused to come back - again - but arrived this morning at 10am having missed school taxi. Now I'm waiting for soc.worker to come and have a word with him at 1pm. Silly boy he is. By doing this he's messed up being able to visit his family during the week...............now it'll be just weekends and he'll not be a happy chap !

Puts paid to the card making I was going to do this afternoon.........oh well, if the weathers as bad as they forecast for the rest of the week I can get a few more done.

Have a good day all of you and hugs (((((((:o )))))))))))) to all those who need them.

Sorry, not had time to read through the whole thread. Will try later
    Mary

    Hi all,

Just a quickie to say thank you for all your lovely messages for Haribo. I've just heard that she's out of theatre and is ok. :j The hospital have said we can speak to her after 4pm, so I'll update then if there's any news. At times like this I hate being so far away.

I'm sorting things out here for my trip to Scotland so nothing of interest to report....cleaning, tidying and more tidying. I'm looking forward to seeing Haribo tomorrow, but I'm dreading the flight so I think I'll make some of Aussies Anzacs later to distract me from thinking about it. Bet they don't compare to Twink's hobnobs! :p

Nels, good to see you back.
dlb, you've done really well with the cigarettes! :T
Mrs Mix, I hope your ds is ok and that you don't have long to wait in a&e.
Aussie, don't you dare post those pics of Haribo! ;):D

    morning all
jockettuk glad your DD and her friends seem to be coping with it are the school doing a memorial assembly or have the family invited her friends along (that might be a bit too traumatic given your DDs age) perhaps taking flowers later on might give them some comfort and a bit more 'closure' if thats the right word. its so difficult to know what to do for the best isnt it.

The kids have decided to do a blog style thing on the net as they all into that kind of thing.. they will all put there thoughts and they dont have to put a name if they dont want to .. This will be printed out and given to the family and a copy kept at school for them..
Those we love don't go away,They walk beside us every day,Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear
Our thoughts are ever with you,Though you have passed away. And those who loved you dearly,
    Are thinking of you today.
