Sorry if i am not allowed to post this here
I won the item on 13th Jan and paid at same time via PayPal. Seller has assured me that they posted 1st class, on 15th Jan and keep telling me that they also posted other items that day and everyone else has received......apart from me. It is obviously WAY too long since then and i have no idea what to do next! i have never encountered this problem before....i dont want to imply that the seller hasnt sent item but whatever has happened i have paid for something i havent got lol!!!!! The item was only about £6 but its the principle of paying for nothing! Is there anything i can do? Or do i just accept that i have lost out?? The seller has implied it is down to me to chase royal mail and that "there is no way of tracking mail sent by RM" but that they "will send me the postage receipt if i need to claim from royal mail"...???????? I am totally confused - my sister has said something about claiming through paypal but this all seems a bit severe for £6 lol......advice pleeeeeeeeease people, you guys are the only ones i REALLY trust to help me!!!! :A :A

Baldrick, does it have to be this way? Our valued friendship ending with me cutting you up into strips and telling the prince that you walked over a very sharp cattle grid in an extremely heavy hat?

they have to claim from royal mail not you!
its their job to get the item to you, if they dont, then ask for a refund, if they refuse, go through paypal
they wont have any proof of delivery so paypal should refund youYes Your Dukeiness0 -
Whilst Reehsetin is correct it may be worth while checking your local post office in case they have it there. At least you would have eliminated this excuse.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

It is the sellers responsibility to find your parcel.
If they cannot they must replace the item or refund you.
If they refuse claim through paypal for item not received.
I love it when they put "I am not responsible for items lost in the post" in the auction. Pay with paypal and then they will find out who is responsible.0 -
Tell the seller that it is their responsibility to claim from the Royal Mail.
You should also open an 'Item Not Received' dispute with Paypal.

This link should tell you what to do.
You may also get more replies if you ask over on the eBay board. The regulars there will know better how to help you.Everyday I am asked to be a magician, in a world where magic does not exist.0 -
royal mail won't deal with you as their contract is with the poster - get on to paypal and raise a dispute of item no received.0

Hi guys! i have (yet again) responded to an "oh i'll send u the receipt" email lol....this time saying that i have been told it is the sellers responsibility to chase royal mail etc etc...seller is being okay but is definitely trying to avoid having to actually do anything and because they arent being snotty (and are sending noncommittal emails lol) its really awkward trying to sort stuff out as i hate looking nasty! lol - i am SUCH a !!!!!!
But cheers for the advice and encouragment people, it is really helping!! At least u have all said the sam thing about it being NOT my responsibility - if u had said conflicting things i'd have been panicking by now pmsl!!!! You guys dont think i am being a cow for chasing something that only cost me £6 do you??

I have put in a claim for 99p before now.
If you want to throw £6 away then I will gladly have it.0 -
Hi - I had this happen to me too. The guy sent a rude email saying "up to you to contact Royal Mail" I'd waited a total of 4 weeks so in the end I just raised a dispute via Paypal, my purchase arrived 2 days later...funny that!!
This is the first time it has happened to me and really annoying, my purchase was for only £3, but a purchase is a purchase.
Good luck.

give lots and you will always recieve lots0 -
Surely they (the seller) can just go on-line with the tracking number to see if it arrived, and if it didn't, then put a claim in with Royal Mail for lost postal item?
At the same time, start the "item not arrived" thing with paypal immediately, because it's highly unlikely to turn up now.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -

hi all, i have to add my tuppence worth.
i sold 11 BN sealed PS2 games on ebay in october, about the time they were on strike, via standard parcels.(i know i should have tracked it now, but i was offering freepost, and only sold for £70) lost in post.
i did pay the extra for enhanced insurance upto value thank god, i sold games for my brother, pass money on to him etc. paypal refunded buyer his money and he didnt believe i even sent. im the one who lost being the seller.
im still no nearer a payout. royal mail have sent buyer a letter to confirm he didnt receive. as he hasnt responded, and nor to my emails, they assume he has received item!!!!
waiting for royal mail to contact me to see where we go now.0
