  • I've been with Pipex for a couple of years now.
Service has been great so far.............
    UNTIL
They have been doing some work on my exchange, the service has dropped 4 times that I've noticed in less than a week.
    Utter brown stuff.
Guess who I'm cancelling at the soonest opportunity.
    Steer clear.

Reading other forums, that is standard Pipex speak meaning that they are migrating you over to Tiscali

I've had the same with F2S. They've been great for the last couple of years but since being taken over by Tiscali the problems begin. Time to migrate.
  • They still owe me £24.99 for the month after I left. Have I got a hope in hell of getting my money back??!

Is there a problem with Pipex broadband today? I cannot get connected at all. I can't ring them either ,to ask, as the account is not in my name and they wont discuss anything with me . Currently surfing using my mobile ...very slow.....but at least I have a tariff which includes data.
  • Yeah they had an outage this morning from about 6 am - 1.30 PM. I've just got my connection back

Thanks for the info.......was beginning to worry that my new lappy had died. Am now back up and running
  • You'll probably find your now on the Tiscali network since Pipex was bought by them. My connection changed a few weeks ago and it's been difficult to connect a few times since then. You might find this status page useful: http://www.tiscali.co.uk/cgi-bin/status.cgi

I have been on Tiscali for months, and this is the first issue I've had. When I spoke to pipex support hey said it was an outage and were fixing it - so don't think it is anything to do with been on Tiscali servers now - all ISP's have outage occasionally

I also have been on the tiscali network since June. Speeds have suffered but this is the first outage of a serious length of time.
I am leaving Pipex in may when my contract is up......fed up with rubbish customer service, incompetence and bare faced lies.
