Pipex?

I'm with pipex and have been for three years, I think the service is great, no Indian call centres, a real person on the phone, I never had a problem with them.
If you were talking about AOL, that's a different matter entirely, absolutely c*ap customer service etc. Try and get your migration code off them, its almost impossible, blo*dy Indian call centres, I will not use any company who uses call centres out of the Uk.

A few days ago i discovered an odd £13.99 payment that went out to pipex - which is completely out of the ordinary; as i usually pay a few days after pay day - and for a totally different amount as well.
I contacted them enquiring as to what was going on, and after much to-ing and fro-ing, discovered that they had a sales person who'd opened another pipex account with exactly the same personal details as i had - same name, address, tel. no etc
They admitted this had happened in error and since it'd take about 7 - 10 days to get my money back to me, they recommended I ask the bank to indemnify me since the DD was taken in error. My bank have done this - but my question is: should I be doing anything else ? ..

Was funny tonight. Phone rang and it was the woman from Pipex.
"Hi, have you looked into it?"
"Yes and the results are bad."
"Sorry?"
"Yes, I looked at the feedback and everyone said Pipex have been bought out by Tiscali and the service is crap".
"OK, I won't be wasting any more of your time".

How can I get my £24.99 back from Pipex without ringing their stupid call centre?0
-
in november our broadband went down and after many calls to pipex we were told to send our router box back as it had a fault on it. we did this and we were told to use the free dial up number that they gave us to keep online. we did this and finaly in jan we had our broadband service up again. after many calls again to pipex we were told that we would recieve two months free as a gesture of goodwill, this has never happened. i have just opened my b t phone bill and found that the free dial up has cost us £54.58. it has just taken me over an hour to pipex customer service and they have been useless and have not given me any assurance that they will sort this problem out , i can only worn you not to deal with this company0

We left Pipex last month after just over 4 years with them. They used to be a good company but our last dealings with them were awful. Its now 10p/minute to phone them too.Hark at you going all strict0

Pipex are now part of Tiscali nuff said.
Presumable the free dial up service was no charge for the internet but you pay for the phone calls?
Also read this on another forum:
The groundswell of anger from former Pipex customers at being stealthily migrated to Tiscali broadband could soon burst into a full-scale rage, because like unhappy TalkTalk customers before them they could end up £125 out of pocket if they decide to take their business elsewhere.…That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
it has been a nightmere from start to finish with this company and people need to know to steer clear and avoid all the stress and poor service . im thinking its time to go back to the old companys like britishgas the waterboard and the electric co i dont remember it being this bad in the old days or has the wine gone to my head..............0
