    Afternoon
huge hugs to those dealing with loss at this time

dd11 enjoyed her first time at church and will go again. There were a couple of charity shops open and as richmond is pretty posh I thought I would end up with a few bargains - like the christian dior velvet coat for only £250

I did however pick up the GH book of baking and jocasta Innes' Thrifty Decorator as well as a couple of novels. Nothing fr my wardrobe or the present cupboard alas. Well must flylady - have a good day
I'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 2008

Good weekend for us, quiet except for footie and son's friends party so chilled out at home and spent no money today or yesterday.

Off to sort out jacket spuds

    Good evening gang.

    Hugs to Hilstep.
    Hugs to Beemuzed.
I am so sorry for both of you.

I have read the daily every day this week although work has taken over and I've not managed to post much.
The lady I covered for at work last week has been admitted to hospital today, so i'm working again this week. I can only hope she soon recovers.

    Hugs to all

    The Twit.

Gosh that sounds so selfish....I hope she recovers for her own health, work should be the least of her worries.

Hi.................just had our supper the last of the beef from Christmas Day wih yorkies, cabbage, carrots and braised leeks, roast spuds and celariac, lemon cheesecake to follow...............

Spent all afternoon going through a large conatiner with fabric in, was sure my UFO's were in there, they were not, they were in a box labelled UFO's on top of the bookcase!!!! However I did find some dark green fabric I can use to bind the table mats with. Along with a load of fabric I forgotten I had.

I also found enough fabric to make a baby play mat........so maybe will make one for the craft fair someone might like to buy it as a present for a baby...............

We have the chap coming in the morning to fix the problem with the termostat in the bedroom and a new one in the sitting room....OH has a meeting at the bowls club.....so a morning to clear up and wash the kitchen floor......maybe get some ironing done as well.........

Feeling quite mellow tonight, it might have something to do with the red wine I had with my supper..............
    Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.

...SLOW COOKER! I'm so excited! I didn't even really buy it as I used some Lakeland gift vouchers. But I just can't wait to use it. Shame its gotten so late - if I'd been thinking ahead, I could have put something in it when I got back this afternoon....

I'm off to look at some recipes....

    Hi Claire,

Congratulations on getting your slow cooker! I love mine. :)

You'll find lots of recipes in The Complete Slow Cooker Collection. I'll add your thread into the Daily thread where we all post about what we've been up to during the day.
