Good Morning All
Just sitting here reading the post's taking my painkillers for my arthritis my knees are very stiff this morning don't enjoy this i now know how my mum feels some days she has so many things wrong with her i nearly lost my mum in October due to a hospital blunder, on the the positive side my mum is my rock and i am very please with her has she has now stopped smoking for nearly 4 months she had too the doctors in the hospital said stop or you will die and true to her word she stopped last time about 8 years ago she stopped for 8 weeks and when completely off the rails and our doctor told her to start smoking as none of the treatments at the time didn't work. My mum has been smoking since the age of 6 and now is 73 in may. We take things day by day being my mum's full time carer can be draining sometines but the rewards are great i am only 34 gave up everything to to look after mum and and 3 months ago i got told that i am suffering from arthritis but a stronger strain than my mums and in 10 years i might not be able to walk unaided but that doesn't get me down in fact i has made stronger and more postive it doesn't bother me about my illness there is people with far greater illness than mine so i live with the day to day pains and aches so last year i finally patched my relationship up the my 1/2 sister in wales and we now get on and all my nephew and nieces are there to support me which is great.
Beemuzed - I'm really sorry to hear about your Mum.
Everyone have a great day, Don't do too much Sundays a for doing little as a possible. Off to walk the dogs and have some breakfast and then some website tidy up.

Good morning all
Beemuzed condolences on your loss. There will be some comfort in the fact that your mum is no longer suffering. ((hugs))
Amie congratulations on the birth of your nephew. Sorry your feeling pants though. Get well soon.
Jayward sorry to hear that you are feeling under the weather too. Hope you feel better soon. ((hugs))
Joannasmum didn't read the rest of yesterday's thread but glad to hear that Joanna is better today.
tru when you say dogging, do you mean truant? In Scotland dogging school means playing truant. Or is there a more sinister meaning to yours?
Crazychik sorry to hear about the extra bill but well done on the money in the handbag. :j
brogusblue you seem to be carrying a lot of responsibility on your own. Do you manage to make time for yourself? (((hugs)))) to you and your DMum.
Well, I am such a wuss.I rented "1408" from the video store last night - purely because I love John Cusack's films. It wasn't particularly scary (rated 15) but of course when I put the light off in my bedroom, my imagination ran riot. So, had a carp night and feel really tired today.
However, lying awake all that time gave me plenty of time to think. I want to fund a holiday for DS, DD and me and I would like to book and pay for the accommodation this month. So, for the first time ever, I am going to do a meal plan for the coming week/10 days. I want to avoid the supermarket at all costs as that seems to be where most unnecessary spending goes. So, that's today's job.
As well as that, I was reading a signature in the Arms last night. The person was planning to lose 52lbs in 52 weeks. Losing a pound a week adds up to 3 1/2 stones over the year. :j The beauty of this plan is that it doesn't seem to daunting really. So, while I am meal planning I will be making sure that I am making the healthiest version possible of the meals. Every little helps as they say.
Spurred on by all this early-hours-thinking, I have already done 200 situps and will climb on the exercise bike shortly. I have been feeling really down lately but I blame the lack of sunshine. Maybe if I can make myself feel better by exercising more and eating more fruit/veg, I won't need the light box that I was thinking of buying.
Right, off to cycle some miles on that bike! Have a super Sunday one and all. xx"Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."

Morning Everyone
Hugs to Beemuzed (()). It is a very windy day again here in Yorkshire, perfect for drying the washing - the basket is now empty, hurrah! Although there are only 2 of us it seems to fill up unbelievably quickly!
Going to get a couple of bits from the supermarket today, then later am going to write a list of all the 'money related' jobs I need to do, as I seem to have lots of little things to pay etc, but all together they are stressing me out slightly! Once it is all on paper I will feel much better. xMFW

Morning all..just ((((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))) if you need one.
Beemuzed.......so sorry to hear about your mum, take care of yourself.
Nice bright morning, so I put a load of washing in and we went for a walk, it was finished when we arrived back so I have to go and collect my dry washing in about 15 minutes.......
At my quilting friends yesterday, she goes in for her op on Tuesday, so will go in and see her sometime Wednesday.
The last of the christmas roast beef for supper tonight, will make a couple of yorkies to go with it and some roast spuds, the remains of the lemon cheesecake for dessert.
Plan to do some sewing this afternoon................I have a lap quilt I made some time ago, want to get it out (if I can find it) and put the wadding and backing in to do for the friend we are going to see in France.
Right off for a cuppa and then to collect my washing............................have a nice day..................
PS: I have just checked my bank account, the idiots who are supposed to be handling oh's annuity have put £100.62 into our account, it should be £168.67. We have already sent the complaint letter, what they have put into the account is even less than the cheque they should have sent................what do I have to do, go and see them in person and refuse to leave until they have sorted it out?????Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -

Annie - I think tru meant dogging
Beemuzed - condolences for your loss.
Had a great time at the celilidh. Had only 2 glasses of wine, lots of water, and managed every dance. DS came with us, but as his sister is in Spain, he had no partner. We all took it in turns to dance with him, especially a friend of mine who thinks he's "too cute" :T DS has just made us bacon and tomato sarnies with lashings of hot tea and smoothies. Our Barbadian friend was here overnight, so, obviously, we had pepper sauce with the sarnies
Off to collect some free manure for the veg patch, then for a walk along the river, while we leave DS to finish hos homework.
Have a great day, Penny. x:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -
Afternoon everyone
(((((hugs))))) beemuzed - take good care of yourself
Need to pop to Mr T's in a mo to get some wraps and some bananas - I've suddenly got a penchant for hm chicken ceasar wraps and banana muffins for packed lunches tomorrow
DD is about to try out her new heelys  and DH is "working from home" - I've got loads to do but can't be bothered
Have a great day everyoneSquares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)0 -

:eek: OK, so I have to stop using the word "dogging" in the context I meant now!!
I have done my cycling on the bike, BM is on, kitchen is clean and tidy (except the floor but that's next) and I have just done my meal planner for the week. I have enough food in the cupboards and f/f to make dinners for a whole week - at least - so the only thing I should need is milk. :j Lunches and breakfasts are taken care of too so should be a cheap week if I can stay away from the shops.
Will work out some figures moneywise and then I might phone up to book the accommodation today. That will give me an incentive to save even more.
Think I will go and make some twinks so that I don't need to go and buy some desserts for DS and DD.
((((hugs)))) to all who need/want one. x"Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."
