    Hi,

beemuzed so sorry about losing your mum.
    Hilstep hope you're ok too

I seem to have had busy day rushing around, looking after everyone else today! I took the girls to church and taught sunday school, then we rushed over to MIL's and I made lunch for all of us. Then I did MIL's shopping in Aldi and returned home to cook tea, make packed lunches and sort uniforms for the morning. So much for Sunday being a day of rest! Not for me anyway. ;)

DH has had a dodgy tummy today and don't we know it! ;) It's his own fault as I think it's the smelly ripe cheese he scoffed late last night...revenge of the cheese! :rotfl: So he's been a right grump today and not much help either.

I did quite a bit of my own food shopping in Aldi, so tomorrrow I only need a few things from Asda.
    Have a good evening!

Anniestar...not sure if I'm allowed to mention F*****ok here, but I am almost sure that Racy Red is on there somewhere in the MSE group...so am I but can't really be doing with it as I find it a little juvenile for my advanced age...several of my brood are on and I think that it is more for their age-group....God I am really getting to sound like an 'oul wan' instead of just being one.

Have decided that I will have to consult a travel agent to book the great Oz visit, as spent two hours trying to work out fares etc this afternoon and can hardly see at this stage.

    Goodnight all,

    Marie

Hugs to those who need them.

Went for a lovely long walk in some woods about twelve miles away from where we live. They have several large trees that came down in the great storm and we always sit on one of them and pretent it's a pirate ship. Food is always so much better when you're outdoors.

Made some chocolate chip cookies today, they're lush. All washing dried on the line and now airing. OH is working tonight so I can watch what I like and not have to listen to his snoring!

Am off to have a blackberry vodka and do some knitting. Have a good night all:A xxxx

Thanks anniestar, I'm looking forward to it! I was speaking to Racy earlier this evening and she's well. I told her she was missed on the daily so hopefully if she get's time she'll pop in soon. :)

Beemuzed, I was so sorry to read about your mum. Look after yourself. xx

Had a busy but very nice weekend, but just posting to say ((((((hugs))))))) to beemuzed. I am so very sorry for your loss. We are all here for you and Hilstep. All those of us that have lost loved ones know what you are going through, and that the immense hurt is almost overwhelming. My mother has been dead for almost two years, and I can say time does heal, in that there comes a point when you can remember and smile, rather than just remember and hurt. I miss my mum every day, but give thanks that I ever had her. I'd rather hurt than never to have known her love and friendship.

    CM xx

Just been having a read around - and have a quick question, but first, hugs to those who need them and hope the week ahead is better.

Can anyone point me in the direction of the apple braid recipe that I keep seeing mentioned? I can't find it, but I might just be looking with my eyes closed! Thanks.

Been looking at the SC recipes and am now starving and breakfast is so far away...
Only when the last tree has died and the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught will we realise that we cannot eat money.

    Hi Claire,

Here it is: D&DD's Apple braid. If you scroll down a bit on that thread there's a picture of it too.
