Hi, this is the Daily Thread for today. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.
Morning. Woke up at stupid o clock this moring and can't sleep anymore so got up. Went to bed quite late too, so will probably get tired tonight.
Church this morning and it should be good as the youth are playing all the music. That means all my tribe are playing and singing, so I am looking forward to that.
Then straight after that I have to go to work, so a long old day.
Got my credit card statement back from Capital One yesterday and instead of depressing it was £125 in credit:j . That's all due to their 4% cashback offer last year and I got my 'cashback' So I have to think of a way to spend it......?
Well folks, have a nice day

Morning N9EAV and all who follow. Didn't get time to post yesterday for some reason. Every time I tried I got interrupted. I hope you all had the good weather we had. Dry and sunny, although cold, but great to get the washing dry.
Hoping to get some more paperwork sorted out today and will try and get DH to clean the windows - now that the sun is making the occasional appearance, they look disgusting!
I haven't read yesterday's thread yet so I hope everyone is well. Will try and catch up later.
Off to have a shower.
See you later.

Morning N9eav, Moiliere, Amie, dlb and all who cross/follow.
You three are early birds as I am an hour ahead of you and you still beat me. Amie - glad to see you have said hello, but sorry to hear you are under the weather again, take care mate it's been a duff 2008 healthwise for you and yours so far.
Glad my DS took up tennis rather than footy dlb - much better seated in a sports hall, or sitting in the sun in the summer.
Off to the market later today to stock up with fruit/veg, had some strawberries on at 3€ a kilo a couple of weeks ago, hoping for more of those or even lower prices:rolleyes: Must decide what to do with the Lidl pork fillet for dinner tonight. Any suggestions?
Ironing still waiting for me, but not a large pile.
Take care - DGMember #8 of the SKI-ers Club
Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?0 -
AMIE (((Hugs))) to you - hope you feel better soon. Take it easy today.

Good Morning. Just had a call from my brother to say that Mum passed away about half an hour ago. He's so upset not to have got there in time to hold her hand. Strange that only on Thursday Hilary and I were saying how upset we were watching our Mums suffer without being able to help..now we are both mourning thier loss. Off to church for early service as I guess I'll be going down to Poole later.Resolution:

Morning :hello:
When PP posts, does anyone check to see if she's cleaned her toilet? No? Just me then
:rotfl:
We went to Highnam Woods yesterday, the RSPB have a wildlife area - you should see all the wild birds :T Thought we'd have a nosey at the hide but it was locked, apparantly it's become a dogging site
So we did see t!ts but it was of the bird variety :rotfl:
We were out in the garden all afternoon, mr tru carefully cut the pampas grass down. Nothing nesting in the one in the back garden, but we found a hedgehog in the one in the front garden :T so he left it alone.
The compost is amazing this year (even if I do say so myself lol) so we've spread it out and will dig most of it in today, leaving some for the pots. We should have grapes and tayberries fruiting this year, fingers crossed please
Amie, look after yourself
Beemuzed, I went off and made a coffee as I was typing so took a long time to post, I didn't see your post. I'm so sorry

Morning chums ,had a lovely night at DD's last night, and we watched a dvd of 'Confetti',a bit saucy but very funny. Feeling right as ninepence this morning and full of energy. My blood count is obviously rising again.I have several cards to make this morning, and then I'm off to my youngest DD's for lunch, and Monopoly with my little grandsons this afternoon.Hope everyone has a good day.I am up to date with all the washing, ironing and batch baking so am feeling a bit smug this morning .
My sis-in-law is coming home next week from Dubai and I'm looking forward to seeing her.
Computer has a bit of a glitch in it at the moment so I have to type as fast as I can before it crashes again.Eldest Grandson is going to fix it tomorrow hopefully .It will cost me a couple of bacon butties ,cheap at half the price.
Anyone got a good recipe for celery soup as I seem to have quite a bit in my fridge at the moment .
Cheers everyone and <<hugs to those in need >>0
