    So sorry about your mum.

DH is clattering about ostentatiously washing a couple of things!

Have decided to let him get on with it. I was going to do them after they had soaked but if he wants to ruin the pan with brillo pads so I buy new yet again - then fine!!!

Another load of curtains are in the washing machine so that will make all the bedroom curtains washed this week.

Will make Sunday lunch later in my third of an oven!! (main oven broken and DH does not think we should buy a new one as we are selling the house!!)

I am not bitter- I am not bitter -

    LBM

We could be sued if we sell the house with non functioning built in oven????

So do we want to pay hundreds for someone else buying an oven or do we want to buy a cheap one that would do for the next few months. Mmmm!

Might drop that idea casually into the conversation later.

Going to see how washing is doing - if I can get into the kitchen!

Beemuzed - I'm really sorry to hear about your Mum.

Had a very late night watching TV till gone 3.00 then up at 9.00. I'm so tired I'm going back to bed in a minute.

Yesterday I made 4 portions of Somerset pork & apple casserole, 7 portions of chicken curry, and a lemon drizzle cake. All in the freezer now, and very pleased with myself.

When I surface again, I'll potter and finish the washing-up. DH is out for the rest of the day so I can sleep without disturbance. Apart from that, I have nothing planned really - if I get up and about at a reasonable time, I'll toddle up to Argos for a breadbin, but if I don't get round to it it's okay. I'm going to take it really easy today; I tend to be manic at the weekends trying to fit in all the stuff I don't get time for during the working week, and I never really allow myself to down tools completely, but now I need to. I'm taking today for me.

Beemuzed & Hillstep - Im so sorry for your losses!
Hugs to Grannybroon also - your'e not forgotten either

My back is playing up again. in a lot of pain. Hope it clears.

it was Pay day on Thursday, and pay out on Friday. All the bills/debts, rent & council tax paid now for the month. 1 debt has been paid off :j - but then another came through the door the same day, from the housing benefit dept, saying they over paid me last year and I now owe them £400.80.

Went to a coffee morning in the local village hall in aid of the cats protection league, they had jumble, craft, tombola stalls. DD won 6 decent prizes on the tombola, and I brought a lovely NEXT handbag for 50p. Got home to find 2 x £20 notes inside. :j So I brought extra gas & electric for the meter's.

OH just back from Tesco, so must try & help before he gets the face on!

    Have a great day

  • good morning everyone.

hope everybody is okay, was just reading mistys thread about her hubby in discussion time, hope to goodness he is okay and misty as well, my thoughts and prayers with them this morning.

finally my kitchen is FINISHED, couldnt believe the mess, i have dust on top of dust and all our clothes seem to have a white film over them so its mega clean up operation today. i only ever had 3 double cuboards in my old kitchen and a built in cuboard that took all the room up, now its gone and i now have 19 cuboards and 5 drawers, think ill have to go shopping to ikea and fill them with some bake ware ect as before never had the room to store anything. another thing is with so many cuboards i keep forgetting where ive put the mugs ect and have to keep opening them all LOL.

hope everyone has a good day and a nice sunday dinner cause i can cook a proper dinner today as we have had takeaways for the last 8 days and the novelty soon wears off.xx
