Hi all.
I bought this item no. 110214189653.
I originally bid on the auction for this which ended for £125 or £135 but apparently the buyer couldn't collect soon enough. So I was sent a second chance offer at £75 which I bought.
After buying it I spent hours looking at potential vans to put it on, recovery vehicles etc . Luckily I hadn't bought a van. I had bought RAC relay cover and had to put Friday aside to collect.
On Thursday evening the seller phoned me to tell me it wasn't there. He said a scrap man must have taken it! I was very angry about this and felt justified in leaving negative feedback.
I've now received negative feedback of "The vehicle was stolen no need for bad feedback thanks for being understanding!!"
So is there a way to remove this negative? I feel justified in leaving a negative I just dont't want the negative. Should I have left the negative?
Thanks

That's Ebay for you... You were right to leave negative feedback as soooo many people aren't honest and don't bother due to the other person retaliating.0

He could have been telling the truth

Maybe I shouldn't have left it but I was angry. I'd spent alot of time, money and effort. If there was no retalition I'd be happy at leaving it. I feel its acceptable to leave it. If it has been stolen then I think he knows who by. I don't think he's done anything about it though. I don't think it is reasonable for him to have negged me.
How do people get them withdrawn?
Thanks

The two don't go together. If your neg goes, so does his. That's assuming he agress to mutually withdraw. My TV is broken!

if all he wrote back was: "The vehicle was stolen no need for bad feedback thanks for being understanding!!" personally i would not bother about it! you did the right thing leaving the neg! and reading that message the seler wrote for your feedback no one will take much notice of it! some people are just so petty that they have to retaliate and give you neg also to make themselves feel better!! dont worry about it! no one else will

They do go together however by doing something that I believe is right, I suffer. For me not to suffer then I'll have not do to what I would like to do.
If I leave the neg then my conscience maybe clear but I'll be angry because I receive a neg so won't be able to enjoy a clear conscience. I may lose out on future sales aswell hence be out of pocket.
If I get the neg removed then i'll still have the satisfaction that people can read between the lines and see a neg against him. More importantly neither I nor my feedback will suffer.

Retalitory negs are an occupational hazard - put a factual reply to it, move on and wear it like a badge of honour. Keep the ID as a buying account only so it will not affect your potential for selling.<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0

But neither will he or his. Either you want the neg to stand, or you don't...?My TV is broken!

My feedback is now 97.2%. Although I could understand people looking at the feedback description and concluding the feedback is unfair. However some people will only get as far as 97.2% and look elsewhere hence losing me actual/ potential bids/sales.
