For those of you who like the Tussaud's themed parks but not enough to buy an annual pass....
I don't know if you can still get these, but at halloween I bought a 2L bottle of Fanta which had 2 for 1 entries for thorpe park, chessington, M. tussauds, etc unitl 31/3/08.
I personally am not a fan enough to get a yearly pass.
Thanks!0 -
Lol... feebay... nice, you are so right

Ok I see what you mean, people who selling old receipts that gets you 100 CC points but u'l need to buy say a Mars bar in the process.
Maybe saving up the points and getting individual cards would be the way to go, but then she can't take a friend along
bummer!
So does anybody know if the passes have names on?0 -

You can get two-for-ones vouchers on Tetley tea bags at the mo.0 -

Yes, full name and photo on each card issued.
Have just remembered that when we purchased annual passes last time at Legoland using clubcard deals tokens, we were each given a pack of money off vouchers etc., and I'm sure that there was one to bring a friend free on your birthday. I think that Chessington used to do something similar also, so maybe with luck when the new passes are issued they'll include some kind of "bring a friend" incentive. Otherwise best way forward is to purchase annual passes for your family and look out for individual offers in the papers or on cereal packets or the like for taking friends - there are usually loads of these offers around once I've forked out for annual passes!

they wouldnt at tussauds last weekMarmadukecat wrote: »As the individual pass cost £110 to buy and the family pass is £330 does anybody know of they will exchange 3 clubcard individual deals for a family pass?
I have just tried phoning the merlin pass issuing office at Alton Towers but got no reply.0 -
3 got passes at tussauds last week, cant have family pass with tesco deals, each individual has own card with photoHi
Just wondering if anyone could help me out with a couple of Q's about the merlin family annual pass...
1. I would like to use my Tesco CC points to get an individual annual pass (because they don't do the offer on family ones) and then upgrade it to a family pass at one of the locations with extra cash... does anyone know if this is possible?
2. The family pass is for 4 but we are a family of 3 (2 adults 1 child) my child would like to take a different friend or a cousin along with her on the different days out but i am not sure how the photo or name thing works on the pass... does anyone one know if this is possible?
3. What is the deal with the photo and names on the family pass, do you get 1 card with a family photo on it and just the surname? or is it 4 passes with individual names and photos on each? also do you have to take photos with you or are they done at the attraction?
any answers would be much appriciated

Just posted this on another thread and Love2save directed me here.......
We have had a Tussauds Annual Pass courtesy of Tesco Clubcard Deals for a few years now. When I sent off for vouchers to renew recently, I noticed that Tussauds were being taken over by Merlin, and Legoland and sealife centres would be included on the pass as well as Alton Towers etc. Yippee!
I booked a couple of days in London at Easter in anticipation of using our passes.
However, when we got to Alton Towers at half term and recieved our new passes, they were only for use in the old Tussauds establishments and I would have to pay £15 per pass to upgrade to a Merlin pass.
To cut a long discussion short....... I paid the difference, (£60 extra!!!!!), as I had already booked to go to Legoland. It seems that if I had waited until Feb to convert my vouchers I could have had a Merlin Pass, but as I had exchanged the vouchers in Jan I had to have the old pass. Despite the fact that it did not state this on the Clubcard site, and I had a confirmation e-mail stating I had ordered a Merlin Pass!
Spoke to Clubcard to complain, but no refund or compensation just a nice apology from the manager. I still feel it was misleading, and I am still fuming. This probably makes no sense to anyone else, but I feel better! Thanks! :rotfl:In a world where you can be anything, be kind. (Caroline Flack)

oh what a shame

not sure if i will send mine back to get the more expensive passes which include legoland. but it has all been pretty confusing and misleading, and some staff have definitely said on the phone that the cheaper clubcard passes are for the new card.
my annual pass doesn't run out until june so i would be exchanging my tesco voucher for then. are they going to keep issuing the old style passes until the end of july, which will be the expiry date on the last of the old style vouchers they sent out?
trying to get the passes cheaper was worth it for me because we go to alton towers most often, and legoland once a year, and not every year. so the extra attractions were just a bonus, it's the alton towers pass i want.
but what a pain having to pay £60 at the alton towers gate, not having the option to send your vouchers back and exchange them for the more expensive ones etc.
i think tesco have been very misleading on this because they linked to the annual pass page which DID include legoland 'bad mothers club' member 13

Thanks for that! I thought I was going slightly mad when the staff at Alton Towers and at Clubcard Deals kept telling me that I couldn't have known about the new passes because they didn't go live until 14th Feb.
