quick - tesco clubcard annual pass including legoland set to rise soon!

the tussauds annual pass has joined with merlin and will now include legoland, dungeons and sea-life. i had just sent off for 2 of our passes, then heard the news about the new pass for this year. tesco confirmed that the pass i will get will be the new merlin one which should cost £110 cash - so a quarter of that in vouchers.

for another week or so the pass will be at the old price of £95 on the tesoc site - so if you buy it quick you'll save £15 cash which is £3.75 in cash.

the tesco site still lists the old pass which doesn't include legoland or sealife, but they will update the website and send out the new booklets within the next couple of weeks.

i don't need to get my own pass until june but having heard about this i'm ordering it now to get it cheap - the voucher will be valid for 6 months anyway so i can have the pass made in june but will have only paid the old price for it.

Many thanks for this, I will go and have a look now! :T

And good point about getting the Deals voucher now, ready to use when you need it within the next 6 months.

No, it doesn't seem so. Here's a quote from the Merlin Annual Pass website:

'EXISTING TUSSAUDS ANNUAL PASS HOLDERS - your pass is still valid at Alton Towers Resort, THORPE PARK, Chessington World of Adventures & Zoo, Madame Tussauds, London Eye, Warwick Castle. Please note that upon your next visit to one of these attractions you will need to get your card re-printed, this is due to a new Annual Pass system, so please make your way to the relevant Annual Pass office. Existing Tussuads Annual Pass cards are not valid for entry at LEGOLAND© Windsor, SEA LIFE, Dungeons and Sanctuaries. Upgrades to all attractions are not available.'

Did you pay £95 (or equivalent in Deals) for your Tussauds Pass, adwozere? And was there a lower price for a Children's version can you recall?

Just wondering if there will end up being an Adult price and a lower, Children's price for these Merlin Annual Passes once they re-jig the price on Clubcard. The Merlin website gives a 'family of 4' Annual Pass option at £330 but the Clubcard site doesn't have this.

    Thanks for your reply.
We got our passes using clubcard deals (£23.75 each), 2 adults and 3 children, but they were all the same price ( no cheaper for kids)

    Thanks for that info.

I don't want to dither but we are a family of 2 adults and 4 kids (only 2 of the kids are under 12 though), so just wanted to weigh up the costs before purchase. Although I can pay in Deals in full it's taking a big chunk of vouchers from the amount I would like to put towards a holiday really. Hmmmm......must count up my clubcard vouchers I think!

clubcard have never, to my knowledge, given a child price or family discount on passes. alton towers charge a flat rate for passes, but there's a family annual pass which effectively gives one child free. you can't do that with tesco, you must buy one pass for each person no matter how old they are (if they are a metre tall, that is).

it's the same with tesco one day tokens, you have to buy one for everyone but if you were paying cash at the alton towers gate you would be able to get a family ticket.

i really resent having to buy a pass for my 2 year old but he is a giant. but he's an adrenaline junkie who rides everything he can and really gets his money worth so i shouldn't moan. if he didn't like rides i would feel ripped off. most theme parks don't charge 2 year olds.

I feel the same to but my boy won`t do the rides so i`ll be paying for him to stand with me while I watch the others its a shame its not on age instead of height like it used to be!.

Its a fantastic offer though and will keep us busy all year so thanks OP

I am totally confused. Are you saying that we should buy the Merlin pass off the clubcard website now to reduce what we have to use in tokens?

Do these come with your name on them or you can pass it on ever now and then to someone else to use it?

Just read it, it has to have your photo on it...
