  • Thanx for this. Iv'e just ordered my new deal tokens for annual passes. Ours run out in June. They have been fantastic. Can't wait to go to legoland and sea life. I rang tesco about this and they said that if for any reason they wouldn't accept these deal tokens then they would re-credit your points for you and you could re-order if necessary.

Do these come with your name on them or you can pass it on ever now and then to someone else to use it?

Just read it, it has to have your photo on it...

They take your photo and put it on your pass.

2 of our passes run out at the end of next month. I don't want to travel to Thorpe Park when it opens at the end of March and find we can't use the clubcard vouchers so have to take our DD home.... she would be upset....Tesco really should give a definate answer one way or the other.
  • alton towers rang me mon. had question bout pass as blue badge holder and wondered if could get the free cares pass but couldn't as used tesco vouchers. well its been merlin for awhile its on our cards which got august, but they have only just worked out deal with legoland etc. the lady said that passes won't be accepted unless they are purchased either vouchers or brought, till the new ones are released in couple weeks. i asked if they were doing the tesco vouchers this time she said they were working on it at the moment. fingers crossed.
vouchers cover all ages from 2 upwards one price suits all.
they are trying to get people to buy them and not wait till its official with tesco.
will def be getting them again if vouchers accepted went loads since summer as only few mins drive away
  • Thanks for this, have been saving for these but was holding off till the deal with legoland was done, will order now, hopefully they won't pull out before I can get to one of the sites to get the card...

I remember looking at the Merlin Annual pass website a while ago and they dont have a child pass, which I guess is why tesco dont offer one.

You can also use the card at parks in Europe:

Jellyhead - thanks so much for this! Didnt know you were still around on these boards!!
Is it also worth putting on the Days Out board as well, in case people who read that board dont read this board??
I was hoping that Merlin would do an 'all in one' pass - I had an email from them in Nov/Dec which was an online questionnaire all about annual passes and if you thought it should include the old Tussaud theme parks and Legoland/Sea Life as well - there was a space for additional comments, so I took the opportunity of adding that as we are a family of four, the only way we could afford annual passes was through Tesco Clubcard, which is true (who has £400 spare??)

Thanks again!! I am excited already!! Roll on Easter!!

(It is quoted earlier in the post, but here is the link to the Merlin (Tussaud) Annual Pass website:http://www.annual-pass.com/holding_page.asp

It seems to me like if you order now, you are risking getting the pass. If you order now, you get the Tesco voucher which is supposed to be taken to the park to exchange for the annual pass.

However, once they become a merged, new program, that Tesco voucher you have may no longer be good if they don't accept it. If it's no good, then you'll have the hassle of having to return it through Tesco and get points back on your account, and then have to wait for your clubcard vouchers again, etc.

The clubcard deal that you get from Tesco is for an annual pass, so how can it not be valid when you get there? They cant give you an old Tussaud Pass that is no longer in existence. Tesco would not give out something that was no longer going to be accepted by the company redeeming it. Anyways, how much custom do these theme parks get that they wouldnt if it wasnt for all of us who use clubcard to get into them in the first place? None of us would pay full price to get in, so it is not in the attractions interest to turn clubcard customers away. How much food/drinks/photo money etc would they lose out of once we are all inside these places?

You're probably right, but my point is that it is for a Merlin Annual Pass valid at the parks listed, not the new pass. If for some reason they want to screw us over, they could. I hope they won't.
