i think its going to be £23.50 gives you entry to existing attractions as previously listed but the new more expensive tesco deal will include legoland. I would have thought tesco would be aware that some people would try and get vouchers at the old price and would therefore use new vouchers for the new deal. the parks will accept the old style card possibly for another year.

Sounds like Tesco are making a real meal out of this one!
Think we should all hassle them until they make it clear and put a clearly worded announcement on their deals site........
Evelynn, what did it say on your email? Mine just says Merlin Ent Pass, no detail of what is covered. Or did you have a personal email?

This is the latest I got from them:
The new style annual pass will not be issued by The Merlin Entertainments Group until the new Deal goes live on 14th February. Therefore, it would be better for you to wait until then before exchanging your Deals token into an annual pass with them.

Sounds like they don't have a clue either.

The token said merlin entertainments, but the letter was more vague, will have to have another look.

Just to try and clarify the situation it works like this:

If you have the old deal (£23.75) you can exchange this for an annual pass that does not include legoland/sealife centres/london dungeons OR you can pay an extra £15 in cash to include legoland/sealife centres/london dungeons.

The new deal (£27.50) does include legoland/sealife centres/london dungeons.

The printing on the new deals is different (I have been told by someone who works for Merlin) and they WILL be able to tell when you buy your annual pass which deal it is that you have.

  • Checked my passes, the accomanying letter calls them Tussauds passes. The actual token say Merlin pass, valid for all Tusauds attractions.

I have the new deal vouchers and they read:-

    The Merlin Entertainments Group
    New Annual Pass Token

12 moths worth of entrhy to Merlin Entertainments'
attractions once exchanged. Now includes LEGOLAND and
    SEA LIFE Centres and Sanctuaries.

That's clearly untrue as we've received ours for £23.50 stating it's a new pass including Legoland...... think it's luck of the draw in who deals with your order.
  • As the individual pass cost £110 to buy and the family pass is £330 does anybody know of they will exchange 3 clubcard individual deals for a family pass?

I have just tried phoning the merlin pass issuing office at Alton Towers but got no reply.
