I doubt it, as I think the wording in the Deal Brochure means it is one voucher for 1 person - At least they are still for free (money wise I mean)

Well I did have received 2 tokens on the old price two weeks ago , today received other token and is diferent... this last one says:

    The Merlin Entertainments Group
    NEW Annual Pass Token

12 moths worth of entrhy to Merlin Entertainments'
attractions once exchanged. Now includes LEGOLAND and
    SEA LIFE Centres and Sanctuaries.

Then I called Tesco and asked if the old version tokens will be acept for the new version annual pass ...they do know much:rolleyes: (suprise!) but they told me to send back the old tokens with a letter asking for them to change for the new tokens (I need to have points in my account for the diference)

I have a Tesco Voucher valid for the Tussauds Annual Pass, but I have not redeemed this yet...

    Is it still valid?
Yes. If your voucher is still within the 6 month validity date of issue, then this is still valid for redemption at any of the following attractions: Alton Towers Resort, THORPE PARK, Chessington World of Adventures & Zoo, the London Eye, Madame Tussauds and Warwick Castle. Attraction entry for this pass are for the attractions state previously

Can I exchange this voucher for a NEW Merlin Annual Pass?
Yes you can, when you visit one of our attractions, for a £15 upgrade fee we will issue you with a New Merlin Annual Pass.
N.B THIS UPGRADE IS ONLY AVAILABLE FOR TESCO CUSTOMERS THAT HAVE NOT YET REDEEMED THEIR VOUCHERS.

  • Hi

Just wondering if anyone could help me out with a couple of Q's about the merlin family annual pass...

    1. I would like to use my Tesco CC points to get an individual annual pass (because they don't do the offer on family ones) and then upgrade it to a family pass at one of the locations with extra cash... does anyone know if this is possible?

    2. The family pass is for 4 but we are a family of 3 (2 adults 1 child) my child would like to take a different friend or a cousin along with her on the different days out but i am not sure how the photo or name thing works on the pass... does anyone one know if this is possible?

    3. What is the deal with the photo and names on the family pass, do you get 1 card with a family photo on it and just the surname? or is it 4 passes with individual names and photos on each? also do you have to take photos with you or are they done at the attraction?

any answers would be much appriciated :)

wulf, don't know all the answers but
you can't take use a card for different people, the cards look like a credit card but there's a photo stored on there that they will check each time. wouldn't you just be better off getting 3 single passes?
we had individual ones as it was cheaper, they took the photo on the first visit to the park.
  • Thanks for the reply Rovers :)

Yeah we did think about getting singles but we only have enough points for 2, which we might do if we can then change the (2 x £115) passes into a family pass and make up the difference, thus allowing 1 extra child pass.
So I guess we could maybe add one of her friends to the family pass for the whole year?

Cheers for the info on the credit card type pass, does anyone know if you get 1 credit card pass for the family or is 1 per person?
  • Hi Wulf,

It's definitely one card for each person, whether you buy individual or family passes. As rovers says, each card has a digital photo stored on it and they do check these at the turnstiles.

I also don't see how you could get the family pass from deals tokens - at the point where you hand the tokens over they take the photos and issue the passes, and it would be too late then to request the family pass deal instead. That said, if you do find a way to manage it I would be very very interested to hear about it - we are 2 adults + 4 kids and it's an expensive business even with clubcard deals!

Buy tesco vouchers on ebay ...;)
  • Cheers for the replies guys :)

I'm sure I saw it on the Tussauds annual pass site, something along the lines of upgrade your individual to a family pass somewhere in the facts... not sure if it's still on there now that its all changed to Merlin and had stuff added?

I might look into the Tesco vouchers on Ebay, so how does that work? aren’t they usually registered with someone’s Tesco CC account?

If people have to buy individual ones for their under 12 children, they really should do them as a half fare, kids still ride the bus the same as an adult does, but yet they pay half fare, guess its even more of a rip of for the really young ones?

So do the passes have names on them?

on feebay you have to buy vouchers that are already-redeemed. You can't buy Tesco rewards on feebay (i.e. the ones that are for a certain amount of money) because they can only be redeemed on that clubcard account. However, once they are redeemed for the deal tokens, you can purchase the deal tokens in any name.
