BT Caller Display - Free
Comments

Does anyone know how many calls you have to make via BT (1280 prefix) so that you get this service for free ?
(I was thinking of phoning my mobile for a second after receiving my bill to make sure that there was one call per month)

It just says 'some' in the FAQ's....
I don't think they would charge anyway but best making at least 2 calls... I use BT for any 0845 calls I need to make as they are the cheapest from them but use 1866 for the others...

I signed up for the free service a few weeks ago and this afternoon decided to check that I had my account adjusted to 'free' by BT. They had made the adjustment but there was still the advance charge that appeared on my last telephone bill. Initially they said it would have to be paid as they had billed it. It only took a few minutes to convince them they were wrong and a credit has been applied to my account.
Call 0800 800 156 and check your bill out.

BT have introduced a new free service called BT Privacy at Home which comprises Caller Display and automatic sign up to the Telephone Preference Service. Previously, Caller Display would have cost you £1.75 a month thereby saving you £21 a year if you were already subscribing to this feature. You will, of course, need a compatible telephone.0
