Hello Possums,
Blowing a gale over here again. Not much rain though. They've predicted another cyclone in the next 2 weeks. Oh Goody, there's always something to look forward to.Flooding is still very bad out west and they have changed the mantra from drought relief to flood relief.
I had to look after DGS again today. He was as good as gold for Ninny. He helped me vacume & wash the floors. I ironed while he had his resty. I blanched & froze all the corn this arv after he left. Lleyton lost last night. Yeah.
Mrs Mix :hello:
<hugs> to those feeling ill.
I can't seem to fix up my font size. Will pop back later. Hope you all have a lovely day. Byeeeee
Seems to working once I post. Who knows.
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
Hi everyone. I was hoping we were all starting to feel healthier but I see lots of (((hugs))) are prescribed for today to DONNY-GAL, MRS MIX, LEARNINGTOSAVE (and family), JOANNASMUM, SCUZZ for the eye and CATOWEN for the worry. I really hope things start getting better for you all.
Happy Birthday to Mr TIRED MUM (or would that be TIRED DAD?).
I have had my shower, cleaned the bathroom and bedrooms and found the necklace I had bought for my niece's birthday in the process. I was starting to think I had dreamt buying it but it turned up when I wasn't looking for it. Typical.
well, going to go and do something else on my 'to-do' list.
Will catch up later.

Tuesday is my baking day so I'm muffin and flapjacking today for the school tuck shop. Think we'll have carrot muffins. I'm going to make something for my kid's lunch boxes too, something with choc chips probably.
Must get a batch of yogurt on too and make a start on mySeville orange jelly.
First though, I'm off to the butcher with the child benefit to pick up a big order of free-range chickens (8-3 whole and 5 jointed giving me 10 breasts, thighs and drumsticks each plus backs for stock), 10 lb mince, 100 sausages in 10s and 5 lb bacon. Should keep us going for months.
Must also pop into the surgery and do battle with the doctors who have decided DD can't have a set of epipens for school as well as one for home (as she always has had). If anyone else has epipens for their child I'd love to hear their experiences PM me
Menu for today

L- Kids and OH have pitta pizzas, fruit and muffin squares
Me -Egg-fried rice (leftover stirfried veg and rice from yesterday fried up with an egg.)

So far this morning I have knitted 4 rows, made spag bol and bunged it in the SC, made some dough for garlic bread to go with the spag bol, made everyone's pack ups (cream cheese and tomato bagels), bathed DD and washed her hair and washed one load of washing - need to stick it in the TD before I leave for work. Just need to put my war paint on and I'm good to go.

Morning all. DD is off school again today-she still has a migraine, I did manage a relatively peaceful night with her though. She really doesn't look well though this a.m. There isn't alot I can do really. She has migralieve on repeat prescription and she is under the care of the specialist at the hospital. Anyway, (((hugs))) for all who need or want one. Beef for tea-not sure how long I need to sc it for. I did lamb last week and it fell off the bone, It didn't really carve, it fell to bits. Tasted delicious though.
Right better go empty td and dw and wm and put another load in, then get showered and dressed.GE 36 *MFD may 2043

 Good Morning all
Its cold and frosty here this morning. Boys are off to school. BM and WM has finished just sitting there waiting for attention. I actually seen to myself first this morning ! (Well i went to Sainsburys at 7pm last night and bought lots of reduced bread so i wasnt in a rush to make some.) Great bargains too. 4 x tiger bread rolls for 20p they are large finger roll ones. Loaves of their own thick sliced bread reduced to 20p also, So i bought 2 for the freezer. Making sure i left some for other MSE ersBought doughnuts, cherry scones and cookies too.But at 20p each pack it would be criminal to leave them on the shelf
Busy day here today, cleaning though. I left everything yesterday as i knew i had to go out walking. But i know that i always pay for going out the next day,( I have pins and plates in my leg) So if i get things done i get them done.If i dont i won't beat myself up about it.
Hope everyone has a great day and everyone is feeling better today.
Hugs to anyone who needs them.

Morning all and hugs to everyone who needs them!
Back at work after being off yesterday - it's not that I don't like my work, it's just that sometimes it's hard to face up to the day:(
DH did a sterling job of nursing me last night - delivered fizzy orange and comfort food on cue! Just realised that it's my sister's birthday at the end of the month and we're off for a long weekend in Belfast in a fortnight to see my folks!
Oh well, better get on. Have a good day everyone:wave:0
