The Great 'Cheapest & Best Internet Dating' Sites
Comments

I've been on them for about 3 years myself and I agree with comments on both side of the fence.
Lots of fake profiles, and masses of 'supposedly' interested ladies in me- when you pay up they strangely disappear. Currently have a open compalint with one of the sites for this see if it gets any were.
I'm very depressed by the internet dating scene- I use it cause I am not 100% confident about myself and sometimes (aka Chandler Bing from friends style) use my very very bad humour to make myself feel comfortable and coupled with me trying not judge girls to be like me ex, I figured this would be the way forward to improve both myself and the chances of meeting someone.
I have met some great friends there, nothing more just great friends. Its a shame but you can never have to many great friends. Although meeting someone special wouldn't go a miss (please).
I'd say use the month, see how it goes- you never know what will come of it0 -

I did do a search in my area and there is only about 7 guys in a 20 mile radius of my postcode, as the site is sooooo London based it's untrue and most of the guys were under 30.
I am 36 and not at all cougar like :-(!
Oh hum, not the best £32. I've ever spent[/QUOTE]
Don't disregard these men simply because of their age. I also met my Husband on a dating site just over 6 years ago (again proof that they can work).
He is 10 years younger than me and completely the opposite in looks and personality than any of the men i'd had relationships with in the past. If he hadn't contacted me first we would never have met, simply because I assumed (quite wrongly) that I wouldn't have anything in common with a younger man.How does a brown cow give white milk, when it only eats green grass?0 -
I did internet dating for a long time. Well, I say dating, but I didn't have many of those! However, just over 3 years ago, I got a message from a chap who I was really quite rude to, in my first response! Our daughter is now 20 months old, and we're genuinely incredibly happy, so believe me, it's not all bad! Keep thinking about all the msn conversations we had - we've still got them, and would love to have them published as they're so funny!0

i joined eharmony last night as I got fed up with the "new look" guardian soulmates - more like guardian no-mates!
Eharmony have an offer on with a code - 3 months subscription for 1 month's fee which think finishes today - £35 so worked out to just over £11 a month.
Not sure how good this site is going to be so will report back.S.A.D and proud

Just signed up to Plenty of Fish......and I think I've made a mistake already!
I did a quick search of my local area and age range and found 4 women who I found attractive and had interesting profiles. But, because I was pushed for time I just put them added them to my 'favourites' list to remind me to message them later. One of the women messaged me before I had chance to write to them and said 'I've just had an email saying you've added me as a favourite, but I don't know you. Why have you done this?'..........ooops!
I didn't know they would alert people I 'favourite'!
Now feel a reet big fool.0 -
take the opportunity to start a conversation with her-tell her you liked the look of her but didn't have time to email so put her in your faves for later-it might be the opening you need!0
