then use up your subscription and get your moneys worth! also report this site to trading standards as it sounds as if they are drumming up business.
but, I do have to wonder if Mr Right may be waiting in the wings! give it a go hun - nothing to lose and if you treat it as a way of just meeting people you may at least make newfriends!0 -
Thanks guys!
You've all made me feel a little better!
I did do a search in my area and there is only about 7 guys in a 20 mile radius of my postcode, as the site is sooooo London based it's untrue and most of the guys were under 30.
I am 36 and not at all cougar like :-(!
Oh hum, not the best £32. I've ever spent.
Still got to smile!0 -
You should name and shame the site....might save someone else being scammed0

I met my OH 7 years ago through an internet chat room, and of the friends we've met through that several have married or are living together...it isn't all bad. I notice one of the comments said that people are making a judgement by a photo...well in 'real life' plenty of people judge others by their looks, that's pretty common. I actually prefer chatrooms to dating sites as in there people initially form opinions by the way a person 'talks' and the general way they come across. I'd got to 'know' my OH for several months just through chat in the room before I even saw a picture of him.
I'm not saying there aren't dodgy sites but some people think of internet dating as plunging the depths and only for real saddos and that just isn't the case0 -
As mentioned you may as well get a few messages out there, if you are going to do interent dating why not try the likes of Match.com or datingdirect as they have massive user bases.
As it is I met my wife to be on match and the funny thing is neither of us had pictures on our profiles. In short there where many with a picture and a few short sentances while mine and hers both seemed to quite in depth profiles with no pictures which instantly gave much to talk about aswell as having a good idea what kind of person I was talking too.

How long has it been since you messaged him? Just one weekend (that's the only info I can see from the OP)? If so, that's really quite a short time to expect a response, IMO. Especially at the weekend. He may have gone away with mates, been busy with other plans, or simply have no internet at home.
Regardless of the above, you've already paid the fee, so just try to get as much out of it as possible. Also, why not provide the site with your feedback? That will give them something to focus on improving then and they may even offer you a free month or something.February wins: Theatre tickets0 -
I would be making the most of the 32 quid spent, I was fortunate to meet my DH on Match.com, and like the previous post we spent a lot of time talking before we exchanged photos. Obviously I reccomend dating websites, but you have to be careful, there are a lot of weirdo's but there are some very genuine folk out there too.You never know how strong you are until you have no other option.0

I too met my Dh on an internet site, we married last September (over 7 years after first making contact).....I would utilise your investment and try to get your moneysworth, but I agree with FatVonD's comment about the frogs!0
