Are you all plain thick or something? Of couse it's the stores fault - if they'd maintained the gutters and kept the roof clean then this wouldn't have happened.
I hope you get as much compensation as possible!! And it doesn't increase the price we pay. And it ISN'T off topic to talk about this because we can't keep banging on about london otherwise we are letting the terrorists win!
OK, then lets for arguments sake say I was delivering a parcel, letters, a paper for example to your house and the same should happen to me because you had not cleaned your gutters, would you be happy if I should make a claim against you and your insurance company because I unfortunately got wetThere are worse things happen at sea, now maybe you really would get wet out there

Poor choice of words I think.....
There are some people getting very worked up on this thread and I can't believe this thread has lasted for so long. Maybe the events on Thursday should have reframed peoples perspectives on what is important and what is not.CrazyChemist wrote:otherwise we are letting the terrorists win!
You are not striking a blow for freedom and democracy by discussing someone getting wet in a supermarket!! Yes, life must go on but why not let it drop? In this case there was no serious damage to the person or their property or their finances. Put it down to experience and move on.0 -

Yes, I hope that we have all learned something valuable from this thread.....essentially....
......if you see a torrential downpouring of water from a guttering, don't walk straight through it, or you will get yourself wet."One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."
Because by then you've blown your chances. That's it."0 -

I just wish I had a life where getting wet was a big problem for me.
Also about the guttering thing, how do you know that something had only just got stuck in the to block it? it could have been a freak accident where a bird died and block up the down pipe. hehehehehJeremyMarried 9th May 20090 -

Just playing devils advocate here. Would that not be classed as an act of God in an insurance claim? in other words un insurable?0
