That is unfortunate. Now this is no better than looking at answers.com, where anyone can answer questions and pretend to be an expert.0

Why not pick up the phone and phone around, speak to different independent stores that sell beds and ask the questions. Even phone up the suppliers and see what they say. Please do the decent thing and post your findings.
Because your clearly not happy with the answers that you are finding on the internet.Helping the country to sleep better....ZZZzzzzzzz0 -
Bifold,
I work for just such a company and have been trying to help. Family owned and run business for 9 years.Helping the country to sleep better....ZZZzzzzzzz0 -
My wife and I purchase a bed from Dreams in August. We paid £2200 for "one of the best matresses in the store". We waited 3weeks for the delivery, which we didn't mind. After a week we notice that the memory foam had too much of a memory, so when I went to bed it was still dipping from the morning. I called many times, waiting over 20 minutes before I spoke to someone. They called out an independent specialist who said the bed was faulty. He said he would report this to Dreams and they would get back to me in 5 days. 2 weeks later I called Dreams and they said they didn't know why no one had called me yet. After being passed to different people I agreed to have a replacement. it was now December when our replacement came. I was asked to sign a disclaimer, which meant if the dream delivery men smashed a light mirror or pictures it wouldn't be their fault. They delivered it and the exact same problem occurred. Coming up to Christmas I couldn't get through to anyone, I got promised call backs, got told I was being transfered but instead cut off, and put hold for over 20 mins and sometimes didn't even get through. Finally spoke to someone and was told someone would call back tomorrow, didn't call. I run a business and find it hard to find the time to sit on the phone 3 times a day to sort this out. I called on Monday 04/04/11 and was told I would get a call in 24hrs and that I was entitled to a refund. No call again so I called today 07/04/11 and was now told that that they will not refund and it was my fault the bed is broken.
Sorry this is such a long message, but this has been going on since august 2010.
Also my wife is 33 weeks pregnant now having to sleep on a broken bed. Dreams are well aware of this and still don't care.
This is a terrible company, forceful selling and disgraceful customer services. I would never ever deal with these again, and will be taken this further.
I have just spoke to dreams and they have finally offered me a refund. I purchase the Eminance matress and base for a total of £2289. They have just refunded me £1911.09. When i asked where the other £377.91 is they told me that the £377.91 if for the FREE pillows and bed linning they GAVE me for FREE.
First of all they said they couldnt refund because of the length of time i have had the bed. I first reported the problem in January not April. 3 months sleeping on a broken bed with a pregnant wife having to roll out of a 3inch dip. They really have no consideration or after care.
Once again to add, everything they give you for FREE is not. Did they really not expect us to use the pillows and bed linning for the 3 months that this was being sorted?
The FREE bedding and pillows have now cost me £377.91, which i will do my best to get refunded.
Trading standards or Citizens advice maybe able to help.
Ill keep you posted0 -
Normally "FREE" gifts have to be returned as well, did they get sent back as well as the mattress?Helping the country to sleep better....ZZZzzzzzzz0

My Harrison bed took a few months to settle in,And to somebody who has no knowledge of the bedding trade its scary to see lunps and bumps.I would not class a internet based bed seller a expert.
Best advice is to try to buy from a long estalished family type furniture/bed shop. They often, build up long relationships with customers often furnish entire houses over the years,If you have problems they often push harder to resolve problems as they want to keep you as a customer.
My mattress has had ample time to settle in, and it doesn't have lumps and bumps. It has huge body sized indentations. I actually have gone to several local furniture stores, and they all told me that a bed should not do what mine is doing. They assured me that if they sold me a bed it would not do that, and that they would be able to get it sorted if it did. Trouble is, I am out £3000, and I am not anxious to waste any more money. Forgive me if my level of trust for in store sales people is not high. At least with online sellers one can look at the reviews (and you can check sites like this to see whether there are huge numbers of complaints...as there apparently are about Dreams).0 -
Which one is it..major factory or small family run business?Pinkypants wrote: »I have worked in a major factory making the products, don't want to name it as I prefer not to give away my location, so in future I can give advice without any saying that I'm trying to benefit from it.Pinkypants wrote: »Bifold,

As I said "Worked" in a factory, I'm sure you can work it out.
If your not happy with my answers that's fine, it is my opinion and I have only been trying to help.
Settlement is natural and DOES happen, the question is, like I have said before is it OVER settlement?Helping the country to sleep better....ZZZzzzzzzz0 -

I can see your point,The small family run high street furniture shop have appointed reps from the furniture/bed makers who service the account, they will often inspect any complaints with the shop owners and resolve the matter.(I have seen this happen many times).
Since I have city & guilds 555 part 1 in bedding and bedding prep and being a master upholsterer some people may regard me as a expert,I only buy furniture I can see, touch, try out.I have a Harrison bed not cheap but great value for money.0 -
Bifold, which Harrison bed do you have, and how long have you had it? Mine was a Hypnos bed. I'm really disgusted that Hypnos is unable to create a bed with a combination of comfort and support that matches the level that they are rating it at. One of the sales reps that I spoke to about this told me Harrision have very good customer service.0
