Do you know who the inspector worked for?

Ecomaster. I think that says enough?

I'm assuming I could get an independent inspector at cost to myself to write a report?

Ask for a copy of the report from them. If it isn't the same as the inspector told you then put in an officail complaint. Then get another inspection from someone else.
  • Just received a reply from Dreams. They'll replace the mattress with an alternative up to the value of the original. We pop along to our local store and pick one we'd like.

Next problem: What am I looking for in a good quality mattress (even though we're getting it from Dreams and I feel those two phrases shouldn't go together?)!

    Nice one, well done :T:T:T.

Do you know the spec for the Chaucer, as it seems that they have stopped making it?

2000 Pocket spring, memory foam top (although I expect this is latex, as it's starting to collapse). It's 4 rating for firmness.

    Price at purchase £1599

I'm 18 stone (115kgs) and 6' 7" tall, so we went for a king size for obvious reasons. My wife is 5' 3" and about 11 stone (70kgs).

    Hi everyone,

wish i'd seen this forum before buying from 'Dreams', suffice to say we bought a £700 mattress from them which has lasted around 2 months before its memory foam started losing its memory.
customer service is a joke and say there is no defect in manufacture - problem is caused by us - i suppose we shouldn't have expected to actually sleep on it!!!
am still fighting them now, have spoken to trading standards who agree with our position but Dreams appear not interested once they have your money.

ONLY ADVICE I CAN GIVE IS DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES GIVE THEM YOUR CUSTOM - THEY WILL NOT GIVE YOU ANY SERVICE IN RETURN

    Hi all,
I wish i had come to this forum before buying my Kaymed "Raphael" matteress from dreams. let me get stright to the point without going through the delivery hassles i went through.

Wife and i tested the matteres in the showroom and it was heavenly, bought the matteress for £2100, got 10 year warrantee with that but 3 weeks gone now and i've concluded that what we tested in the store was far superior to what i've got on my bed now. The center of the matteress now feels deflated after only 3 weeks (wife stopped sleeing on it 2 weeks ago, but i stayed on trying to give it a benefit of the doubt) but now, i feel like i'm sleeping on my old flat bed and wake up with lower back pains even worse than i felt on my last matteress.

I need advice on how to get a refund as they've only offered me a swap for any matteress in their store.

I too got a bed from Dreams, when we first laid down on
it we could feel the springs on all the contact points.

I rang Dreams, they sent Ecomaster and a few days later I received
a letter saying they found no problem!

Because we ordered the bed on the internet unseen have we
    any distance selling rights?

A white Transit type van lettered with Dream Beds (or similar wording) has been going around selling beds and matresses out of the back
A king size memory foam mattress was £200 the man said he was based up north I think Sunderland.

Is this any connection with the Dreams stores, or is it a doorstep selling scam ?

I think it's safe to assume it has no connection to Dreams.

Yes, if within 7 days you have DSR cancellation rights. You also have rights under SOGA.
