just about to make naan bread dough
need some for tonight and some for tomorrow night. tomorrow nights dough can go back into the fridge but for tonight how can i warm them up if i cook them now?
its the curryqueens recipe so into the oven for a few mins then under the grill. presuming the best way to do is the oven part and then the grill part when i actually need them?0 -
That's what I would do. Sprinkle a tiny amount water on them before grilling them from cold to stop them drying out.

Hi
I'm looking for a naan bread recipe and I'm sure I have seen one on here somewhere.
I can't see one in the recipe index, and searching is throwing up a couple of discussions about 'curryqueen's recipe, but I can't find it!
Has anyone got a recipe, or know where to find one on here? I tried a recipe I found on the web last week but it didn't work too well - I think I would rather use a 'tried and trusted' one from here this time0 -
Page one post three of the monthly grocery challenge under bread.
I am useless at quoting from other threads but here is the recipe from my PC. Copied of course from CURRY QUEEN
Naan Bread
450g SR flour
1/2tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking powder
2tbsp veg oil
4 tbsp plain yoghurt (beaten)
2 eggs (beaten)
150ml water approx
(can add garlic, herbs, spices to flavour)
Sift flour, salt, baking powder into bowl and add oil, yoghurt and eggs (plus any herbs/spices you want to add) and mix. Add water slowly, using hands to bring together until you have a soft dough. Knead with wet hands for a couple mins then leave to rest for 15 mins.
Pre-heat oven to highest temp and place baking tray in to heat up.
Divide dough into 6 equal portions, and with floured hands roll each piece into a ball in palms of hand. Pull each ball out into a tear shape and place 2 at a time onto hot baking baking tray and return to oven immediately for about 3-4 minutes. Remove tray from oven and place under hot grill for about 30 seconds to brown and crisp top lightly. Keep warm in clean tea-towel.It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your windowEvery worthwhile accomplishment, big or little, has its stages of drudgery and triumph; a beginning, a struggle and a victory. - Ghandi0 -

Does any one have a quick and reliable recipe for HM naan bread or something similar, like a flat bread please?
I'd like to try and make a batch to freeze to have with curries, soup etc.
Thanks in advance.0 -
