Anyone have any idea if I can do anything with the leftover dough - freeze it ideally? That man is richest whose pleasures are cheapest. Henry David Thoreau0 -

You don't *need* a tandoori oven. It would be fantastic if you did but cooking at home is all about improvising.
If I were making nan breads I'd get one of those pizza stones as hot as possible and use that under the highest grill.0 -
Thanks squeaky
Reckon a pizza stone would be great but it was fine on a baking tray under a hot grill - puffed up really nicely and was very tastyI also added some cumin seeds when I took it out of the bread machine and kneaded them through before rolling it out.

Hi,
Try adding a teaspoon full of kalonji (black onion seeds) to the mix - this makes a massive difference and they taste very authentic !
I found them in my local Sainsbo's @ 1.19 for a jar of Barts spices.

Thanks Keith, I was wondering what was missing! Are these the same as nigella seeds, does anyone know? That man is richest whose pleasures are cheapest. Henry David Thoreau0
