i brought a gorgeous fibre optic twig type tree for £3 at the car boot a couple of weeks ago its about 3 foot tall white but when you plug it in it changes colour (not as tacky as it sounds) for the main tree we have a fake one now as it goes up 1st week in dec.
It used to go up christmas eve after the girls had gone to bed when we only had 2, we told them santa brought the tree and decorated it (it was a real tree and i used to put the decoration box in the with santas mince pie and sherry. But as the family grew santas work load increased and the kids wanted to do the decorating so now its a fake one earlier

just had my prima delivered there is a christmas traditions suppliment with it that has some lovely flet decorations in to make. some nice recipies as well

i nabbed my sisters supplement today :rotfl:  some fab ideas in there :)

loving the simple table decoration with apples etc in !

I found this on the freebies board. https://www.eyegas.com/xmas05/ My daughters like it as they say it's proof that sprouts are bad for you.

Same here! I love my Prima magazine and the supplement came at the right time to get prepared for Christmas!

Not doing too bad 'recycled' presents wise and yesterday was very pleased when DH's family agreed to a £20 per couple max spend in order to save money. This is very good considering SIL wouldn't have even entertained this thought a year ago and MIL can save her money as it has been known for her to spend over £100 on each of us (her 2 children plus OHs) in the past!!

Also bought M&S shortbread tin on Friday, whilst on offer and that's gone upstairs until 1st December! Will probably encourage DH to make Christmas food list this afternoon and then we can buy items a few at a time rather than in one big shop!

Well that's my roll of cellophane bought... paid £20 from my local florist and its a huuuuuge thing!! Will keep my friend's in hampers for years to come!! :rotfl:

Bought a few things for my parents' food hamper when i was in Spain last week... some locally made honey (BBE 2008... should have bought some for next Xmas :rotfl: ) and some locally produced sweeties. Wanted to get some local wine etc but ran out of space :( All that's left for them now is to make chutneys - which I must do this week or it'll be too late!

Sister and SIL's "Winter Warmers" are just in need of some marshmallows to be complete, other sister, and most friends done... just one or two bits left to get for a pamper hamper, and then presents for the lads (I need Xmas and Birthday presents for my OH, FIL & Friend's OH) ... I'm stuck on those... :(

Also I'm stuck on where I'm going to keep all my hampers once I've cellophaned them up as they won't just fit under the bed like they do when in bits!! :rotfl:

Hmmmm triiiicky... let me see if I can find somewhere on the web with star instructions :) The little Kraemmerhuse and Julehjerter (sorry don't know if it's possible to translate those) I'll have to take pictures off to show you all :) not a problem just need to get round to it :)

This btw is how a traditional Danish x-mas tree would look :) the hearts are handmade and the designs can be indefinitely varied :)juletre2.jpg

and this page has the star instructions... they're in Danish so I'll look for an english translation :) the size of the star is dictated by the size of paper/ribbon you use :)http://www.julidannevang.dk/klip/fletstjerne/fletstjerne.shtml
