loving this thread and have got some great ideas. all i will say is don't buy any stuff just to fill a stocking - make sure it will be used otherwise its just a waste of money.
heartwarming moment. our youngest dss2 was telling me before last xmas that santa must be real as there was no way parents could afford all the presents they get. ( he was in primary six at the time so was lovely to hear) married to the man of my dreams! 9-08-090 -

Gosh I'm feeling a bit like a spammer, but I didn't want anyone to miss out on this potentially useful, moneysaving freebie
I've posted about it in the Freebies Board and it's a sewing pattern program called "Wild Things!" (link will take you to my fuller post in the FB). It's a corker if you enjoy sewing or even if you want to make up some quick and easy gifts such as aprons, capes, hats, ear muffs, slippers (this is a US program so *thongs* means flip flops)
If for no other reason you could use it to make drawstring bags to the sizes *you* want and use those for gifts instead of paper bags; you can embellish them as much or as little as you wanted.
The apron pattern would be great to make up a BBQ apron for a fella
Hope it's of use to someone:wave:

Just been into my local tesco and they have loads of £1 WIGIG items all on 3 for 2.
Blank CDs, Hand towels, flannels, felt pens (pot luck assorted colours I think), baby food pot set, hair band set, loofah/lily/mitt set - ideal for those of you making hampers.
Also picked up a set of 24 shaped cookie cutters for around £2-50 which with a value box at £1 will become a cheap playdoh accessory gift for my nephew. Plan to print of a homemade playdoh recipe to include with it.
Just looked at the wild things site and maybe I'll make an apron too.7 Angel Bears for LovingHands Autumn Challenge. 10 KYSTGYSES. 3 and 3/4 (ran out of wool) small blanket/large square, 2 premie blankets, 2 Angel Claire Bodywarmers0 -

Whereabouts in store were the cookie cutters? I've been looking to get some but they can be expensive so 2.50 is more like it.“A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” - Dave Ramsey0 -

They were in the aisle with the baking trays and utensils etc. They are in a round flimsy plastic container. They were next to a set containing pooh bear cutters and a rolling pin. They are new so may not be out in all stores yet.
The bar code on the bottom is 5 051140 137601 - you could ask at CS if your store has them rather than wander around aimlessly.7 Angel Bears for LovingHands Autumn Challenge. 10 KYSTGYSES. 3 and 3/4 (ran out of wool) small blanket/large square, 2 premie blankets, 2 Angel Claire Bodywarmers0
