Is it any good? I'd like to buy a magazine, but worried it might be a bit 'old' (no offence meant). I'm only 25, but I'm just not interested in those fashion and celeb magazines.

I've been reading the OS magazine thead.

    im 27 and i like it :o :rotfl: :T

Dustpan and brush sets can be bought in the £1 shop, home made biscuits can be wrapped in a square of cloth and put in the pan and the whole lot wrapped in cellophane and tied with some ribbon and a label with the poem (or your own version?) and recipe attached. Guaranteed smiles :):):):)

Last year I bought my M.I.L. the fur edged "Jewel" studded rubber gloves. Having seen your D.P.& B. idea, and having been attracted by very expensive dustpan & brush sets that go with the gloves i.e. they have plastic jewels studded on them, I thought a trip to The Works, where they sell sheets of jewel stickers, and a quick half hour with a cheapo dustpan & brush set, and maybe the glue gun if the sticky things aren't reliable, might give me another pressy for M.I.L I intend to include the cookies, and the poem, so thank you for the idea.

Primark are selling chains of beads, silver & pearl, which, although they are necklaces, I think they'd make good garlands for trees as they are extra long. I think there are red ones. They are either £0.99 or £1.99 I've forgotten which.
I'm doing a "Gurlie" tree this year, feather, pink & white stuff, fairies and the like. Any further ideas welcome.

I also wondering whether I need to buy Prima. I usually flick through a magazine before I buy it to see if I really need it. So what do you like in this months Prima magazine?

I'm like you..I don't like to buy a magazine unless I can flick through it first. When they are sealed it puts me off buying them.
