chardonnay wrote:some ideas i've got for stocking fillers
Anything that needs to be brought between now and Xmas is a potential stocking filler. My girls usually get new pjs, pants, socks - not exciting but bulks up around the other fun things. In the past, they have had electric toothbrush, t-shirts, lunchboxes, plimsoles, ballet shoes as well as pens, paper, books, chocolate, games etc.7 Angel Bears for LovingHands Autumn Challenge. 10 KYSTGYSES. 3 and 3/4 (ran out of wool) small blanket/large square, 2 premie blankets, 2 Angel Claire Bodywarmers0 -
Polly Pocket range is 3 for 2 in ToysRus.
Single doll with change of clothes was smallest at £2-99 so work out at just under £2 each.
Larger sets (2 dolls at around 14 other bits) at £7.99 would make nice gifts for little girls at £5.33. At that price, they qualify as school party gifts - wish I'd realised that yesterday.
There were some other 3 for 2 offers but I'm afraid that I didn't write them down7 Angel Bears for LovingHands Autumn Challenge. 10 KYSTGYSES. 3 and 3/4 (ran out of wool) small blanket/large square, 2 premie blankets, 2 Angel Claire Bodywarmers0 -

OK everyone I have been an extra busy bunny today and most of my Xmas is now completed!! Had a few fantastic finds today aswel that I thought I would share with you all!!!
In the interests of not taking over this thread with loads of pictures which may not interest anyone, I have posted links to the pictures which I have hosted externally. Anything underlined will take you to a picture!!
My Fantastic Finds Today
In Wilkinsons I found a lipgloss and eyeshadow set in the shape of an Ipod for 98p! Also available in Black and Pink cases IIRC... Also in Wilko's I found these mini hot water bottles (tiger and panda, but polar bears also available!!) These were £2.99 each.
My favourite purchase of the day though was this Overnight Bag aimed, I presume, at young/teenage girls! It also comes in reverse colours (ie pink background with black writing) and would be perfect for putting some PJ's in, or, as I've done, a little kit for when my little sister stays overnight at friends (toothbrush, toothpaste, hairbrush, pj's, spare knickers, and some pampering stuff (face masks etc) as she and her friends love having "pamper parties"!!!
In the Co-Op department store, I found these candles - look very posh (when taken out of the plastic box) but only 99p each!! They also had similar ones in shades of pale blue/green.
My Xmas Hampers
Probably of no interest to anybody but I want to show off so here goes!! Btw, all my baskets are from Wilkinsons. The hampers will be cellophaned up eventually with a ma-hoo-sive roll I got from the local florists for £20
Foot Care Basket - for one of my friends - contains foot lotion, foot scrub, foot refresher spray (bought when on 3-4-2 in Boots), Nail polish (free when I bought another item in Boots), toe seperators, foot file, nail scissors, nail clippers and some other random object (free kit with my foot spa), and some of those Party Feet gel cushion things bought ages ago when they were on offer!
Purple Pamper Hamper - contains Radox Relax Shower Gel (BOGOF at Boots), shower pouffe (39p Wilko's), bath bomb & bath confetti (part of a set from £land) Rosemary & Lavendar Soap (69p Boots) & a Dairy Milk
Lavendar Pamper Hamper - similar to above but more "grown up" Contains soap (as above), White flannel (cheap from Wilko's and tied with a piece of ribbon I had lying around!), White massage sponge (Wilko's cheapie again!), Boots Aromatherapy lavendar bath soak (reduced to clear!) and a tealight and holder (holder was 24p from Asda, tealight was from a huge bag costing about 50p for 100!), and le piece de resistance, a Homemade Lavendar Body Scrub in a £1 jar from Ikea, made using Salt, Olive Oil and Lavendar Essential Oil
Winter Warmer Hamper - Tiger Hot water bottle (from Wilko's - see above), Socks (part of a set of 2, £1 from Primark), Mug (99p from the 99p shop), Options Hot Chocolate sachets (2 flavours, 24p each from Somerfield), Gloves £4 and scarf £5 from Marks & Spencers' cashmillion range.
Hope this helps someone and you don't just think I'm showing off!!! :rotfl:
