Good luck for today MOT.
As I've said before this just shows the power of help and support and its fantastic to see!!!
and with regards to Viktory lets not waste anymore 'typing time' on it - its not worth it, the more we respond the more inclined Viktory will feel the need to comment.
Good luck and well done ...:j0 -
All the best for today MOT, we're all thinking of you xxx
I agree though let's move forward and get back to what this thread was originally about, supporting MOT.

Morning everyone, good luck today. Hope things go well. When all this is over MoT and IT and you are settled into somewhere that you can call home then as i said last night, a big get together would be a lovely way to cap things off. A picnic in the park, something like that. I wpuld be more than happy to do a load of baking and bring something down. I am miles away from you but so are many others. But am sure we can organise a get together somehow. And thank you cream for the offer. We will keep in touch on this. To all the helpers front and back stage you should have a medal. If this story can end with a happy conclusion then everything will have been worth it. Sending hugs and love to you all. x x x x x xNight Owl Member No 1 :rotfl: :rotfl:

Good luck today MOT
I've missed a fair few pages on here, so I'm not sure what's been going on but I'd just like to say that the VAST majority of DFW peeps are kindness personified, and if we can help people we will.
Sadly, we do get the occasional rotten egg, but on the whole, the DFW family are amazing :TIs it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

whats up Viktory, have you not been under your SAD lamp long enough?
Be a nice girl and crawl back under it.
That was a low blow you should be ashamed of yourself.
You may not agree with Viktory ,but to resort to trying to belittling her is disgusting, and pathetic.0 -

Hello,
Please be kind to me its my first post and I have been watching MoT's thread for a couple of months now. I just want to offer my opinions but please nobody be offended or be rude to me. I was brought up to respect people, not judge people and also to remember there is more than one side to every story.
I really feel for MoT, I have not been in the situation she is in now but some of the things she has been through I can relate to. If I had been in her shoes I know I would have done the same thing if I didnt have enough money to go round, it seems so much easier to not pay one bill (ie rent, mortgage) than it does to not pay everything else. MoT has always been nice on here to fellow MSE'rs (good and bad)and her story has prob helped other people. BUT I think some of her MSE friends on here have spoken to people in an appalling manner, which only makes people say bad things about MoT. I know they are trying to protect her but she probably would have gained more respect from people if certain people hadnt been so rude.
I remember Blue Monkey posting on the thread and she was more or else told to go away which wasnt nice, but it would appear MoT Pm'd BM and they are helping each other which shows what a lovely person MoT is.
Also Victory posted and had some very valid points that no-one was prepared to listen to which is unfair as this is an open forum and everyone has the right to say what they think. She wishes MoT well but she is constantly given abuse as if she is the scum of the earth. If everybody agreed with each other the world would be a boring place. Victory said maybe its best not to give money to MoT incase other people started asking for money (I know MoT didnt ask) and then this site would be a totally different forum. She didnt say its not right to help people, or donate money to charity she felt it wasnt right to be done on here and it isnt IMHO. To some extent we are all in the same boat.
Another point made was about the publicity yes it is good to get publicity but in this instance if the council had backed down every Tom !!!!!! and Harry who are trying to get homed would think "I know I wont pay rent, get evicted and get a home" the housing is already scarce imagine how bad it would be then. I am not saying for one minute MoT made herself homeless, but it does seem to be she was "made an example of "
MoT's LL has been put across as a really nasty person and I cant comment on that cos I dont know him. Apparently MoT's property had no mortgage on it, but maybe he couldnt afford to pay mortgages and loans on other properties he owns, with not receiving his rent. Some people are ashamed of their debts and on the outside they may appear "well off" but really they could be upto their eyeballs in debt. Imagine if you was owed £XX and you needed it but the person who owed you the money seemed to be doing ok, running a car having a holiday, I know I-T paid for it but the LL prob didnt know that.
I think MoT was let down to some extent, I dont recall seeing her post a SOA which normally everybody does and they are told how cut back and prioritise debts. It might be a good idea to do this asap so this situation doesnt happen again. It looks like MoT was given false hope thinking everything would be ok and she would get housed, she should have been prepared for the worst case scenario so she isnt in the dreadful situation she is now.
I hope nobody is offended by any of this.
MoT - you are obviously a lovely person and your children are a credit to you, I sincerley hope everything goes well for you and you are feeling better and happier soon. "After the rain has gone, out comes the sun" x:A0 -
Yes,
Please lets not start on each other, lets all show understanding and kindness to all those that do not share our veiws.
Kindness brings us together, hatred tears us upart
If there is a god somewhere, be it an old man with white hair and beard, or someone who rose from the dead, or a budda with six arms, or the virgin mary, or the muslum god, it is possible that they have sent this glorious day for MOT and family.
AS I say I am not religious but somebody has "parted the waves" today
Cheers and hugs
Cant wait to hear about "moving day", hope there will be some pictures.
