Also I feel that once MoT finally gets a permanent housing solution sorted, she should be allowed to do a new thread which will be kept clear of bickering by ALL of us.

    Seconded:T

Can we just agree that there are valid points made by most people, just sometimes things get a bit out of hand. Let it stop here.

I for one want to know the end to this saga and hope that this year is a good year.

Hi MOT, Twins and IT, well I can only hope that todays packing up and move went ok. Dunno what the weather was like where you are but it was clear, bright but cold up in Yorkshire.

I'm hoping it didn't rain on you all and that you had a similar day weather wise.

Well I suppose there's not a lot else I can do at the mo except hang about until an update from yourselves occurs.

Toodles for now and are you sure you don't want me to make you a 'moving' cake, there's a recipe I've been dying to try, thought I'd put my own 'twist' on it.:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :D

Hi MOT and twins..I hope everything as gone well today for you.I haven't posted for a few days as all the tittle tattle is too much!!!..something that has put me off is all this ykw..but I don't know what and this has confused the thread. so haven't had a clue whats going on..i have now understood you have a couple of houses to look at so thats good and I hope you get one of those and then your problems will be sorted..Do I understand that you are sleeping on a friends floor while also awaiting a appeal deciscion on a point?..if so if you have moved on to a friends floor does this mean in the eyes of the council that you are not homeless...ampersand and your solicitor no doubt would have looked into that.
I'm so sorry your thread has turned into a slanging match (and don't want to be shot down here) as you know I have a great deal of sympathy for you but while on the one hand your supporters have been loyal and true to you there have been loads of others on here homeless as well at the minute and I in no way sleight you here as you have been over to a couple of these threads and helped that is really admirable but I think what some posters are bothered about is that if your supporters really support the cause of homelessness and the injustice of it then why have they not offered one scrap of help to others equally deserving of help...(I don't mean with offers of help to move them or anything) but morally one poor lady was near suicidal the other day and posted about 4 threads and didn't get answers from your friends ...she hasn't posted since..there are plenty of others on there and will be for a long time due to unfortunate debt situations in this country but thats a whole different story...I wish they would give a thought to the others and I know you have done and thats great and amazing as what you are going through you are still giving time to others....I wish you luck in your move...

I am really upset for everyone involved in this post that certain people have decided to "hijack it" for their own misguided and unpleasant attitudes to be portrayed.

MOT, IT and twins, ignore them, and all of you who are being so good as to devote your time and energy to helping and supporting in this case, keep up your good work.

Kaz2904 - you were involved in a very difficult situation at a time when you were probably feeling very vulnerable as a young "adult" anyway. I for one, would have prayed for you and offered virtual hugs, as I have done for this little family. I thank God that you have come through the other side as a seemingly well-rounded individual who is able to offer support in whatever shape or form, to someone else in need. Yes, I have also seen "Pay It Forwards" and that is an example which we would all do well to live by.

If anyone is offended by what I have said, I did not set out to do so, but I would say God help them, because it is certain that no one else will. I have a"Hindu" contact through my work who, during a group training session explained to me that he believes we all worship one God anyway, it is just our conception which differs. I would add that this gentle man (and he is a very gentle man) is married to a Christian, both of them displaying mutual consideration and respect for the other's beliefs. If they can do it in their own home, we on this board should be able to set aside our own feelings and do what this is about - support each other!

Here endeth the first lesson. Sorry folks, it turned into a bit of a rant, but I am disappointed at the way this thread has headed.

    Hi,
the council will not consider her not homeless in this situation, because mot is not making a homeless application that part is now complete. any challenge to the decision that she is intentionally homeless would be in court on a point of law. A court can then either confirm that the authority did not follow the correct process and order they look at it again or find against mot.
At this time she still does not have permenant accommodation

MoT had to be out of the council emergency housing by Monday, so decided it would be easier to move at the weekend and less stressful than risk being evicted on Monday. This won't affect the appeal at all, as this is temporary housing so MoT would still be classed as homeless. It also can't be used to make her status "unintentionally homeless" as she is aware as she moves in that this is a temporary base for a few days and couldn't be classed as a home from which she can then be evicted and then count as unintentionally made homeless.

Hope that makes sense. Basically the solicitor is meant to be seeing if it is possible that all the health issues weren't taken into account at the hearing (as opposed to considered and rejected). That would be the grounds of legal appeal. The temporary move from council emergency housing to a friend's sofa does not affect anything AFAIK.
