    Hi

It's certainly true in Wales and also from recent mailing I've received, Ed Balls, Sec of State for Education has to comply, so would assume it applies to all MPs, whether you're a constituent or not?

Also have had a phone call from the HA whose flat I am currently in for me to go and see them tomorrow so that they can discuss some housing options with me - fingers crossed and watch this space;)

Personally, I actually think, and hope, that this may be the most positive option. I'm worried that, by going back into the 'private sector', it will just be another reason for DBC to 'wash their hands' of you.

It might be a good idea to mention this to Dan Freedman (didn't he use to be on Radio 2?) who might decide to 'ask' the HA if there is anything that they can do for you.

With regard to the question of MPs only seeing their constituents, I think this is wrong, but it would not preclude 'lobbying' outside of the venue.

I thought of this song whilst lying in bed last night, and how it particularly fits this thread and this scenario. I really hope that when you read the words you will see what i mean, and instantly recognise the song. These words could've been written for you MOT and the way you are.

    Enjoy......

The higher you build your barriers
    The taller I become
The farther you take my rights away
    The faster I will run
    You can deny me
You can decide to turn your face away
    No matter, cos there's....

    Something inside so strong
I know that I can make it
Tho' you're doing me wrong, so wrong
You thought that my pride was gone
Oh no, something inside so strong

The more you refuse to hear my voice
    The louder I will sing
You hide behind walls of Jericho
    Your lies will come tumbling
    Deny my place in time
    You squander wealth that's mine
My light will shine so brightly
    It will blind you
    Cos there's......

    Something inside so strong
I know that I can make it
Tho' you're doing me wrong, so wrong
You thought that my pride was gone
Oh no, something inside so strong

    Brothers and sisters
When they insist we're just not good enough
    When we know better
Just look 'em in the eyes and say
    I'm gonna do it anyway
    I'm gonna do it anyway

Pania - this is absolutely unbelievable!!! Apart from adoring this song and its lyrics - I was playing Lee Mead's new album (Christmas present from the twins) in the car last night and singing to the words of this very song which he sings beautifully:dance: and I actually said to the twins that this song could have been written for me!!!!!!!

  • Hi MOT Id just like to say I hope the flat is suitable for you all, you are a wonderful woman who has maintained her dignity at all times.
If people cant say anything positive they shouldnt say anything at all.
There was mention of you having "fans" earlier in the thread well let me say I am proud to be a fan of TEAM MOT, I cant think of a greater cause to support.
This is a real genuine cause and one that all of us could potentially face (there but for the grace of God) one day.
I have a mortgage and debts, some are my fault and some arnt, Im holding my head above water but it wouldnt take much for it all to fall apart and if that happened feeding and clothing my children would be paramount. You did what most mothers would and I applaud you very loudly.
