Morning all, and thank you Steve for this useful info I will give them a call today.

Slept ok apart from the bl**dy hip - thats another phone call I need to make to chase the steroid injection for it.

    So today:

    Phone Crisis
    phone about injection
phone garage to see if car can go in earlier
Look through local papers/websites for accom to rent in St Albans

    Um.........?

    have some lunch
    have a rest
    collect twins from school
    have tea & wash-up
speak to I-T re StA house (rent higher than PTD)
pop onto DFW to say hello & goodnight
    go to bed :D

Great news on the house front - but have a think about the costs of running a detached 4-bed house.....gas / elec / water etc. At least you know what to expect with a 3-bed from previous homes.

Hope that helps to complete your day ;)

    Love to all

Thanks Floss, when CAP first told me the HB went flashing through my mind, then switching radiators off did too - and of course there is the Council Tax to take into account.

This is why I like this thread - you all remember things that I forget:D

If you are getting benefits hun ya should get some if not all of council tax paid for you. That is something else you need to check up on today as well :D (sorry ... didn't mean to lengthen the list!)

Not things that you forget, just things that don't always spring to mind straight away.... mainly from previous (occasionally bitter) experience!

Anyway, the secret of every organised woman is a list (of what's on her lists...) so that she can concentrate on doing and not remembering!

BTW, good decision about the Council - I think it would have physically beaten you to carry your case any further without accomodation & legal aid, no matter how good it was.

  • Hi MoT! I've been away for a while and have just spent HOURS catching up on your thread!

I just wanted to say that I think you, I-T and the twins are amazing for staying so strong through all this, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the 4 bed house working out!
