Thanks Lou- I would actually prefer to ring (what with the postal strike aswell) but I've never seen a number to call as of yet, certainly none offered anyway. I would just be happy with £6-700. I may try to borrow £400 from a relative and go ahead with refusing their !!!.

btw it was a lower settlement figure from me of £840, but the actual amount without interest they owe is £991 (£1,122 with interest). Maybe shot myself in the foot making an offer, as they might now think i'm happy to accept a lot less?

    Hi edgarjay,
I think it's very normal, because there are so many claims the courts are overwhelmed and are aware that the banks are not attending and wasting their time! Different courts are dealing with it in their own way. If you ring your court they may tell you what's happening.
My court still hasnt contacted me and they've had my case since 9 june!!
Let us know how you get on.
    Sue x;)

WOW!!!!Mixxymash you must be so pleased!!I haven't heard of the money clearing before midnight either - but hey ho who cares you've got it!!!!

So how long did you wait in total? I am on day 7 now for my first claim and I think day 1 for my second claim (gotta ring them to confirm receipt).

So you're guaranteed to have a good day today! Enjoy!!!!!

Looks like you just got there in the nick of time as well.!!!!

Can t believe what has been on the news about freezing all claims  still trying to understand what claims they will honour, any one got any information when they ve phoned hsbc today about their claim im sure everyone waiting to absolutely at breaking point.

I ve had my money through this week but that dosent stop me thinking about everyone else. If no one on here has heard about this latest piece of new s i suggest you go to the main forum where there is a link on the banks freezing claims til it has been heard in court

Had to wait 11 days, like a few others on here, but poor LOU had to wait the whole 14 days

Slight hangover but on my way out to pay off OH's overdraft and have plenty left over for a huge shopping spree with my daughter ;O)

    Good luck x
