I might get him to phone them later to see whats going to happen. They said they recieved his acceptance on the 19th july so i guess we have another 6 days before the 14 days is up.
Has anyone phoned HSBC to see if they are still honouring their claims to those who accepted the banks offer? It would be interesting to see what they say. Fingers crossed!!!

I sent off my letter and had a reply on june 17th. It has now been a month and I have not heard anything about my claim. Which is for £1103.
I was watching the news last night and HSBC and other banks are going to do a test case at the high court today. Do you think that they are waiting for that to be completed first? I have not recieved an offer or a letter of rejection of my claim.
Do you think that I should give them a ring or do you think that they are going to put everyone on hold until the end of the court case?cross stitch cafe #90 UFO's 6 to finish in 2013, and loads of new kits to boot

Hi ya catwoman
Generally they take eight weeks from asking for your money back, and up until now that has proved successful from what i can gather you must have wrote about the 10th June so have waited about 5weeks.
But last night this freezing claims has come into force, again from the little i know until it has been sorted in court no claims in dispute will be made.
If i was you i d ring them and see
there are so many people up in arms about this as there was no notice given to martin lewis he didn t know until half an hour before it went on air,
please ring them you might be able to help others in same postion
let us know

Just to let everyone know. As I was worried about the FSA ruling I rang HSBC. I sent my acceptance letter in last week which they have received. I asked about the FSA ruling and was told that because they had made a legal offer to me that it would go through and I should receive my funds within 2 weeks. So that would answer one of the issues.0
