Yes but your signing up for a rolling contract  .
Renewable contract : Contract subject to a 12 month minimum renewable period, i.e. at the end of each 12 month minimum period the contract will be automatically renewed for a further 12 month minimum period unless you tell us otherwise. We will write to remind you when your contract is nearing the end of a renewable period. You cannot downgrade during the minimum period or any subsequent renewable minimum period. If you cease service during the minimum period or any subsequent renewable period a termination charge will apply. This charge will be based on the outstanding period of your contract term.
If you do not wish to renew, all you need to do is let us know before the renewal date. If you choose not to renew your contract with us at that time, you will then start to pay the usual monthly price for your calling plan.0 -
Wow BT... Give by one hand what you take by the other. Free weekend calls with pricier daytime calls and line rental. Surprised anyone?Do I want it? ......Do I need it? ......What would happen if I don't buy it??????0

When trying to sign up to the BT Together Option 2 plan ,I can't see the 2 options to either sign up for the 'Rolling Option ' or the 12 month 'Renewable contract ' of which if I understand correctly only the former is free.
Their are two options.
1. Renewable/Rolling contract call it what you will, which gives Free Inclusive Evening and Weekend Calls or
2. Where you pay for them on a monthly basis and does not tie you to a long
contact.
"If you're not ready to sign up for 12 months, you can still have UK Evening & Weekend calls for just £3.45 a month4 (reducing to £2.70 a month from 1 April 2008), in addition to £10.50 a month line rental3"

I personally would still use Primus Saver 2 for Free Evening and Weekend Calls, with no strings attached. Then if you decided to change supplier you would not need to wait or incur a cancellation charge.Plus their free calls last up to 90 minutes ,as opposed to BT,s 60 minutes.

Hi Heinz, You consistently recommend that people keep their line rental with BT (I agree).
Do you see no problem then in signing up to the "free weekend plan" (former option 1) for a rolling 12 month contract in order to also get the free evening calls.0 -
so will those of us on opt 3 ( locked in for another 9m) se the price drop from April or from the end of current contract ?Any posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0
