Morning everyone (hushed voice because there are so many delicate people around this morning)

DS has two pals to sleep over last night so I had to intervene this morning as they were practicing their WWF moves on each other and there were some worrying squeals and thuds coming from his room!

Washing is already out on line, although the sky is quite cloudy here, will just have to keep an eye on them in case it starts to rain.

I have just had toast made with HM bread for breakfast. Delicious! I must try to repeat Saturday's breadmaker success again if possible.

Kitchen floor has been mopped and washing up put away from last night.

Today I am going to try to make Carrot and courgette soup with some of my excess courgettes. (No I don't grow my own but I have just started to get an organic veggy delivery and am discovering seasonal vegetables. I hadn't realised how delicious fresh runner beans are!)

I also want to do some baking as I am in the mood and OH isn't back from his stag weekend until later so I will have some peace and quiet, DS permitting!

Off to mum's later for Sunday roast, mmmmmm.....

    Have a good day all.

Sorry to hear you've got gallstones saraht. I know how painful they can be - I had them about 17 years ago & had gallbladder removed (Old Style (!!) op with big scar!!!) I expect you will have keyhole surgery so you will get over it much more quickly.

So far my day has been spent catching up with cleaning and washing as I've been away dog- and house-sitting for my friend. As I write I am beginning to get the aroma of bread in the breadmaker wafting upstairs (yum). Can't think why I left it so long before getting one! The slow cooker is hibernating at the moment as we are mosly eating salads - today it's going to a warm chicken salad.

Do any of you peeps know what's happened to Queenie???? It's so unlike her to not tell us what she's doing so I hope that she's okay.

I thought there was a passing mention about a holiday some time back, so I tracked back through recent posts but couldn't find anything.

The ironing fairy has failed yet again to do the ironing...... the pile is big.... oh well that's a task for this evening when it's cooler........as it's pretty hot here today.

Have reached chapter 6 in my Harry Potter book......so far so good...

Well better get on, that washing won't jump in the machine it's self.........

ancasta, I'm so sorry to hear that, I do hope you manage to work things out and everything turns out okay for you.

So far this morning, I've only managed to put one load in the washer, I think it's nearing the spin cycle now. Other than that I've drank tea and read MSE! OH and DD are off to the carboot, DS and his girlfriend are coming back this afternoon so I need to go into town to get a chicken for tea and some other bits & pieces. I supposed I'd better get dressed first, I don't think the world is ready for the sight of me in my pj's! :D
