I am typing this in the library as DD wants to use the home computer - bread is cooling in breadmaker and washing is in machine.
Still have a home made apple pie for tonight as I baked yesterday - which was greeted with real appreciation."This site is addictive!"

i still think im dying.
please remind me never to drink on a school night.
Had a little power nap in the loos so im a bit brighter. drank my own body weigh in water (watch out for a drought hee hee) and had a hash brown sarnie!
Got 2 bogof vouchers for Costa now so im going to wait for OH in the station for about an hour, relax, have a smoke (before he comes back and catches me) and watch the people walk by.
4 drinks for the price of 2.. hope i like them0 -
Got up and ironed shirts first thing - before the heat of the day kicked in. I was still sweltering! At least OH has shirts for the whole of next week at work.
Got to sort out and take the recycling to the recycling area at Tesco today. Oh, and pick up some books from the library that I've had on order. Been meaning to do this for ages (a few days) but things have just got in my way.
We're both off to visit our respective oldies this weekend. This is quite a cunning ploy as OH's mum is cooking us supper tonight. And it's my parents' village/church garden fete tomorrow, so that'll mean that I can stock up on books and yummy cakes - well, it's all for a good cause, isn't it?Considering we're getting married in that church next year, I feel obliged to go and spend money
. OH will be helping his dad sort out their new garden (attached to their new house).
Need to go for a walk round the village now, see if anyone has got their produce for sale. I like living in an area that has houses with big gardens - fresh runner beans, potatoes etc for sale outside because they've grown too much.OH will be bringing some fresh salad stuff home from his staff shop, so that'll keep us going too.

My hangover cure has always been coca-cola and either a bacon sarnie or a full english breakfast (depending on availability!)It does seem to work - probably because all the grease calms the tummy down.

i swear by coke too, has to be the red full fat one!
They didnt have any sausages or bacon left in the canteen and i figured as the hash browns are fried in the same fat as the bacon then im getting the same thing almost0 -
I have two job interviews - yey!! Both with the NHS, which is where I really want to work as im coming over all helpful and caring in my old age, so im pleased about that, and am just about to go into town and find a cool bar to sit in and fill in about 6 applications for other jobs (just in case!). The house is too warm and its really bothering me - and I feel I want someone to bring me a drink for a change (and I wont have to listen to boyf saying "can you help me do x, y and z" which would take me all day!)
Aside from that, we intend to do some drive-by's later tonight of couple of properties we have lined up to view monday, just to check they are in a nice area and have no noise!
Well, I need to by stamps and more posh paper and envelopes for job apps, so ive got to get busy!
Bye!

Hi everyone,
I've finished work so am still here hanging aroud. I got two lots of washing done and en route to work I picked up some of the half price seeds for next summer's annuals from Wilko. Tonight we're off to Homebase to take advantage of their 10% day and buy some paint for the hall, stairs and landing. Before husband's redundancy we were going to pay someone else to do if for us [£160] but those days are gone. I'm trying out a new cake recipe this weekend for my Mum's birthday- Victoria sandwich with elderflower cordial and then the filling is a layer of gooseberry jam with elderflower flavoured whipped cream. It sounded very summery. Tomorrow we're off having lunch with a friend and I hope to pick up the HP book!!
Regards
