I have been watching the news too and it just seems to have got worse every few minutes.

Thankfully Hubby is nowhere near London today and rest of family well out of the way - but it does put everything into perspective.

Well, did not get up too well this morning, almost 10am before my feet hit the floor..... but ready cooked mince out of the freezer for supper, mince and doughballs, with carrots and cauliflower followed by banana split and ice-cream, we have nana's which need using up.....

Washing done overnight, waiting for the rain to clear so i can put it out. Need to make a ring of scone, we are almost out of biccy's to have with our afternoon tea. Also need to make a carrot cake for the freezer, we are taking our grandchildren away in our caravan at the end of the month, Carrot cake and Spag Bol are on the menu.

Husband glued to news 24 (freeview) watching the dreadful scenes unfold in London, should we be supprised, they have been warning us for ages about an attack.

Fruit from the garden collected and put into the freezer for later in the year, tayberries, gooseberries, rasps and strawberries ( these we eat straight away usually have them on our breakfast cereal), also some rhubarb looking promising for the weekend......

Husband fell upstairs last night spilling a mug of chocolate on the pale green carpet, have to see what I can do with the remaining stain........oh well....... looks like I am going to be busy for the rest of the day............

    Morning all,

Margaret - glad you're back on Broadband! I don't have that, but I'm getting tempted, it's SO SLOW for me!!!

    Loadsa,
You just HAVE to get broadband! It is SO far superior to dial-up. I was terribly frustrated yesterday and I decided that I wasn't coming on-line today as I wasn't expecting to be back on broadband. What bliss when I realised that I was!!!!!
You MUST get broadband. Mine with metronet costs the exact same as my dial-up did. The reason I got broadband was so that I could receive phone calls at the same time as being online but the speed alone is well worth spending extra money if need be.

get broadband and thank me later!:p ;)

    Hi! :hello:
It is one of those days.....feel like really having a good cry......I have been having problems with my ds (8 years old) for the past 5 years. I have asked for help since he was at nusery. He was seen by a phycologist who told me that there was nothing wrong but I needed to give him more attention and it was all my fault due to my ill health, brother dying of luekemia, having a stalker and the way that I dissaplinde (sp??) him. After further pushing by one teacher who agreed with me that there was something else wrong and that he was not a naughty boy etc the same man has seen him for a longer period and realised that there are big problems with him following tasks etc and that he is not "thick!" and that he seems as he may have hearing problems.
Got to go as too upset.

  • Just turned TV on to see what is happening - it is absolutely dreadful isn't it?

rebob - at least now your son will get the help (and understanding from others) that he needs.

Thanks everyone. Just been on the phone with Hubby and told him what the report said. I don't want to talk about it with ds there as we don't want him to think that he is a problem or that it is his fault. could have done with mum and dad here but they are in rome on their jollies.
