Got up this morning and found out that the dog had been ill  in the night. Surprisingly she didn't want to help me clear it up! :(

Went to look round a school that I'm thinking of applying to. Looks like a nice school, got a new forward thinking head, BUT it's in special measures. Might be a bit too tough for my first teaching post! :(

Taken the dog for a walk. Looked at both recipes for biscuits and am wondering which one to make first :D.

Just seen that London has won the Olympic bid. Hurrah! I'll be able to watch the Olympics in 2012 without having to stay up very very late in the night. May even be able to go and watch.............

As for the rest of the day: I've got to finish my book (Angels and Demons by Dan Brown, couldn't sleep much last night!), take dog for another walk, get some bits for supper then pick OH up from the station tonight. Oh, and fill in this application form for the school.

Have a good day folks :)

Dorry: go and play on the Word Association thread in the Money Savers Arms. That'll soon get you an extra star. :D

I just got back from, ahem, having my hair cut ... only I was supposed to be having it cut last week. Tsk! That's what happens when you rely too heavily on the computer and said computer is sitting in a Birmingham workshop, 100 miles away, for 2 weeks. So now I'm having it cut, erm, again, next week.

At least it means I'm back earlier so more time to get on with that article I have to write and then, maybe, some baking. I didn't see any slow cookers and all the cook books I looked at didn't have every recipe illustrated. I like a cook book with lots of pictures.

My blender has started to leak - is that supposed to happen? - so I'll be looking for one of those too, unless the juicer will do the same as what I've been using that for, mainly smoothies.

Um, notice the aerobics has slipped off the to do list there. Well, I did a lot of walking around town.

Oh dear. I'm afraid I'm rather depressed by the whole Olympics thing. Recently I'd counted my fingers and toes and decided that, if I stuck to the OS lifestyle, I could afford to buy a place in one of the cheaper areas of London in five years' time. A long way off but a realistic goal nevertheless. Now that we've got the Olympics it's inevitable that house prices will go through the roof yet again. I don't think I'm ever going to be able to afford to buy somewhere :-(

Can't have been me. Quiet as a mouse I am. Why, I've hardly said a word much more often than 2,500 times. :p

Have your kitchen done and move everything EXCEPT the fridge freezer and the water supply upstairs.

You get LOADS of execise that way. Honest :)

Not a chance of an OS week this week. As posted before Mon was lost to illness. Yesterday husband went off on a 3 day jolly to Wiltshire whereas I had a dubious time "role playing" on a course in Brighton but did get a fab free lunch and met some lovely people. Am in on my own at work this week as my bosses are on hol and it's been manic!! However, I am working extended hours. Once I've picked up my son I think it's going to be pasta and Lidl pesto followed by a very early night as it's going to be the same for the rest of the week. I've also got the school fete and cakes to bake for it just thrown in for good measure. I shall collapse in a heap Saturday with a very un OS bottle of wine at my side me thinks. On the plus side I haven't got any time to spend any money apart from on the absolute necessities and I am enjoying it all apart from the rushing around like a headless chicken bit!!
    Regards
    Aril
