  • full fat philadelphia  are you mad  some of us are trying to lose weight................ ;)

I'm afraid that low fat Philly is too soft and the icing is sloppy and just isn't right at all

best thing to do in this case is not to bother with the icing...or the cake...and just have an apple instead.......so now what do you want to do?;)
  • how about apple slices dunked in said gooey icing mixture??? *salivating at the thought - time for tea and weight watchers biccies I think - sigh*

fellingless  today but I'm sure after the training day my blood pressure levels will be at their usual high :D

tonight i will be attempting the washing - sorting out of, ironing and putting away. Also need to re-arrange the freezer in readiness for the PYO fest this weekend......

ooopps, here comes the business manager (note I did not say boss :rotfl: )

1 washing up batch of pans & big bowls done, laundry sorted and ready to wash but it's raining so heaters in the bedroom on again today. One lot of wet washing from yesterday on hangers drying in bedroom, beds made, 95% of stray items back in their homes, daughter to nursery, ebay parcels x 4 posted, emails sent.

    Still to do :
    - bottling instructions (found the book this morning so will get that done at lunch time)
    - ironing (this afternoon while DD rests)
    - floors need cleaning
    - bathroom
    - 3 x washing
    - DUST LIVINGROOM

IL's are coming to stay over tonight on their way to France so I want the place "guest ready" even if they are only the in-laws. I'm kinda houseproud in that way :rotfl:

I really miss being able to get on here with you lot every day........

Busy evening ahead of me when I finish work - we're going away tomorrow & I haven't packed yet! Everything is out ready on the spare bed, so it just needs throwing in the case. I also need to buy rabbit food, clean out the hutch & persuade one of the neighbours to feed her while we're away. Then OH & I are going out for a meal tonight (holiday starts here!) to a greek place that we've had our eye on for ages.

Lunch today is all the leftovers that need eating before we go away, so I've got a salad, pate & crackers, plus a yoghurt for pud & a couple of nectarines.

Hi, a little taste of what I've done today. Children off to school and playgroup. Sheets in washer, but don't know how I'm going to dry them as it's tippling down here, will put them over what we call the 'drying banister' at the top of the stairs I guess. Bought new Panasonic breadmaker yesterday so first loaf is in now. Just cleaned windows (again) with vinegar, oh the joys of having a three year old in the house!
Looking forward to the remains of yeasterday's HM Manchester tart for lunch, then off to school this afternoon for DD's parents evening. Work at 5.45pm for a rest. Have a good day!
PS got a good deal on breadmaker, have posted details on 'budget breadmaker' thread.

Just a quick check in – “elevenses”. Up earlier than usual again this am although this time I was accompanied by dd. Not a lot on my to do list today aside from work, dd and ironing.

lol@apprentice tycoon (2nd para) - hope you enjoyed your night out!

My last day at work today :j well until september anyway:rolleyes: as our school breaks up this week.

Have to get the house nice and tidy as dd's bf coming to stay! It's her graduation day on Friday at 10 am in London so early start required! Have some bread in the breadmaker, white cos that what bf likes and am about to go make a summer pudding using up some of the fruit from the garden. There is not much fruit this year as neighbours conifers are overshadowing the fruit bushes:mad: so I will have to move them at end of the year (bushes not conifers :D) if I remember. Mind you the blackberries are doing really well, nothing seems to upset brambles as they fight their way through anything!

I'm off to ebay now (as it's quiet - thanks apprentice tycoon) to see if I can get any bargains!

Soup is in slow cooker and some home made chicken burgers are chilling in the fridge.

Plan to have the burgers with new potatoes and green beans (10p reduced) tonight.

DH has just informed me that he does not like liver and onions (after I bought 2 packs that are in freezer) - No one else likes it so guess who will be eating it tomorrow!

Washing is on the line as it has stopped raining.

Yesterday saw posh pots of "conserve" or "preserve " for £2.50 for a 12 oz pot - looked at ingredients and it is the same stuff I make in breadmaker for under £1 for over 1 pound in weight.

May treat myself to proper jars from Lakeland and make several batches when I get peace and quiet. (or do I mean if?"
