    Afternoon!

Not long till home time now!!! :j Am sooooooo bored! For some reason work has been moving really slowly over the last couple of days and we are all a bit fed up! Anyway...

Moan over, I am sure, unless I am going mad that I read something about some discount vouchers or something that were on a specific page or thread... now for the life of me I can't find anything!

Please can someone put me out of my misery?! :o
oooh look only about 220 posts and I got round to doing my Avatar already!!

Inspried by foreverskint - I made a batch of everyday biscuit dough, and I'm looking forward to sampling the results later. Didn't even flinch when I realised there was no SRF in the cupboard, immediately thought, someone's bound to have posted plain flour: baking powder ratios on OS!

Ooh - can anyone point me in the right direction for this recipe?

I've had quite an OS day, for me. I've had the day off work (because of which its rained all blinking day) and managed to clear out a lot of cleaning products, most of which will be replaced with vinegar, made up some meals in the slow cooker, done a loaf in the bread maker, and am about to go and try the Bagel recipe from the breadmaking thread.

I know its not exactly money saving chucking out half the cleaning products, but I think they are to blame for a couple of allergies I have. So, will try cleaning OS and see if it makes a difference. Here's hoping...

And have realised my ultimate money saving tip. I was lusting after a couple of recipe books, but have realised I can save the money by using recipes off MSE. Fab!

Also made potato & chive drop scones & a onion & tomato loaf btu I must admit after that tiredness got the better of me so I have been snoozing on the sofa this afternoon....well what could be more old style than a afternoon nap:rotfl:

    I'M BACK - you lucky people :D

Spoke to one of the practice nurses and she's hacked off as well so I don't feel so bad now. Still came in from work and was motivated enough to make a cherry cake, a cranberry and orange cake (first attempt and a bit of a made up recipe), a carrot cake (first attempt from cranks cook book) and a gooseberry crumble for tonight's pudding. AND i have lost 4lbs in 10 days - and I've been eating hm cakes - I am seriously pleased!!!!!

Tomorrow however we have training half-day (yawn!). Full of role playing - unfortunately there is no role playing scenario where you get to bash the people who are annoying you over the head with something heavy - i think the day will be seriously lacking in training techniques...... :rotfl:

We also have an "achievements section" - how about achieving the task of not telling people to "go away" in latin!!!!! :D and a practice meeting - i will be raising the fact that i had to sit in my coat in my office last year because the business manager would not put the heat on - if i have to do it again i will be putting my coat on but not staying!!!! if I tell them now I may get it sorted (although given that we have had a broken window for 12 months it is highly unlikey). If it wouldn't be my luck to get caught I'd ring Health & Safety.......

Tonight is sausage and mash with carrots and peas and then gooseberry crumble - custard or vanilla ice cream??? then i am going to have a nice long bubble bath with the cheap, ahem, discounted M&S bath soak and a watch of Sir Derek of Acorah on Most Haunted whilst I am stitching. I will let you all know how my first time cakes turn out.....
But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green :D
