We had a call from the people who admisnister OH's annuity. I had phoned the bank to make sure they had not recieved the money, no trace of it. The person on the phone said had I checked paments into the acount since before Christmas, and seemed very put out when I told her I checked the Bank every day without fail and I had the relevant pages up infront of me, no money despite what they say, do they really think I would not notice £168.97 going into our account?????? She said oh well I will have to ring you back, has she NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So monday morning I will be on the phone to them again..........I am thinking of writing to the Insurance Ombudsman, its cost me a fortune in phone calls and believe me they are going to pay for them...........

Feeling very tired, I am so fed up of having to fight every inch of the way for what is rightfully ours.............

    Hi again all.

The mini-booklovers have had a *fabulous* day today. DD has been named Student of the Week. She is soooo made up about that. DS got the results of his recent science GSCE coursework tests. He got 50/50 in one and 48/50 in the other. So even if he does absolutely no work between now and May 09, he has already achieved two GCSEs! Well, three if you include his English coursework (he got an A* for that too). I'm very proud of him because he has studied very well without needing prompting.

:T :T :T many congratulations to the mini booklovers, thats fantastic news xx I have read it out to my DD in the hope it might inspire her, well done to them both xx

Have got the plasters on my nose, done this before your suggestion of the cotton woll, its quite a relief for them not to be rubbing x

stefejb, enjoy your chops and freedom xx

Haven't managed to post since yesterday or read yesterday's thread, have read today's.

    Happy belated birthday BEEMUZED

Hugs to those who need one and well done to those loosing weight and giving up smoking.

Work was very busy but managed to get 6 hours sleep which is good for a night shift:rolleyes: . Still feel very sick though, oh the joys of shift work.

Off to put DS in bath and then work again. Made Spag bog for everyone else but I can't face it. Have had a bowl of porridge and am taking sandwiches and fruit to work.

Have decided to make a more concerted effort to use the economy 7 on our electricity. Need to hunt for our timers.

have a good night all :A xxxxx

After yesterday I just had to share this with you! I finally had a knock at the door at 5.30, it was the blokey about the boiler, he had a good look round, decided I needed a new boiler, a new hot water tank, some new radiators and new regulators on all 9 of them! And he said they can start on Wednesday and should take 2-3 days!! Hopefully by next weekend I will be nice and toasty again.

On a not so good note, DS8 was sent home from school yesterday and has the dreaded D&V bug, has been tucked up under a duvet all day, not eating and hardly drinking, I hope he perks up tomorrow.

Hugs to those under the weather, and well done to the bookletlovers(!), big treats for them I think :T

Oh dear our internet up and down and a courtesy call from Corporate IT to apologise. Hence not have a scuby about you all today.

Had my kitchen plan, worktop sample and a sample kitchen door today which is fantastic but a couple of things to discuss re appliances. On the whole looking good. DD hit us with a possible house move and have just had a fantastic long phone call from my best friend. Her partner not hitting us with the professional photo shop fees so just need to go now to Jessops to get top quality prints done. We will do our photos at work on photo paper and best quality and that should be OK.

Cot up for DGS3 for tomorrow, cosy bed time toys ready and meal plan sorted out for DGS1 and 2 (home made soup by DH yesterday). Just to get the yoghurts! We had a roast pork dinner tonight and that is for DGS3 on Sunday. Pork, carrot, potato, parsnip and cauli well shredded and mashed.!!!!! He seems to like lumps so not blitzing.

Hope you are OK and sorry if you are having probs. This has been a rather stressful week with all the building noise outside so going over and out!

Love and hugs to you all.
