Hi everyone!
Sorry I haven't been on the last few days! How is everyone? ((((((((((HUGS)))))))))if you need them.
Had my Great-Aunt Mary down for a few days, (Daddy's sister). She wanted to see how they both were, and help out a bit. Mum seems to be getting stronger, there's definately more colour in her cheeks.:T
Also, Guess what? I took Martin's advice, and wrote to Northern Rock about my Mortgage exit fee.................got a letter today, they owe me £75!:T :T Thank you:money: !!!!!!
Wouldn't have even realised, if I hadn't heard it here, may the MSE site go from strengh to strength. Loads of great people on here too, YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE:rotfl:
OH is over tonight, can't wait to see him, he's been so supportive recently.
Well, enjoy tonight, Pork chops, and a bottle of wine for us, James is going to see his girlfriend.....OOOOOOH!
I Believe in saving money!!!:T

Afternoon everyone. Massive (((((((((hugs)))))))))) to all in need, including the poorly ones, ones with poorly family and those who were caused anxiety by yesterdays' incident at Heathrow. That pilot did an amazing job; couldn't believe, from looking at the pictures of the plane, that no lives were lost.
Well today I did my food shop which I thought would not come to much because I didn't need any meat (the freezer's full of it) but it still came to £59 so I was a bit disappointed. But - I did get the large jar of coffee because DH takes a huge flask of it to work with him, some fish that was on offer, which I couldn't stop myself buying even though I didn't need it; oh, and they also had some boxed sets of very pretty wine-glass charms for £2 each so I bought two of them to put away for Christmas pressies. If I take off those things, it would bring the supermarket bill down to £50ish which is what I intended to spend - not so disappointed now! I also bought the wool I need for my next project and resisted the urge to even look at the other wool there.
I have got two loaves of bread in the oven; the soft roll dough recipe I found on here ages ago makes lovely large loaves - the sort that the baker calls 'bloomers'. DH loves it so I make loads now. I really must cost it one day.
It rained horribly all the time I was out and stopped as soon as I pulled back on to the drive. It's still very windy and there is definitely more rain up there. I'm getting a bit tired of it now and my DH hates it. He hates the dark nights more than anything because he loves to potter around the house and garden. Still, we are so lucky compared to other areas that get flooded - I tell him not to grumble about it.
Oh well, I suppose I had better get on with some work.
Will call back later - hope you are all having a lovely Friday and are looking forward to the weekend.
See ya.

A big
to everyone for being so complimentary about me!
I'm really touched(that's me blushing!)
The lady in question isn't a friend but a patient and she really smiled when I gave her the bright pink bag filled with a few bits
It was simple to do and I hope it might make a difference but I was so surprised that the hospital didn't have a charity fund or someone who would help her out it was very sad and her story is heartbreaking
Anyway, thanks again everyone, furrypigthe nurse xxx

None of the hospitals have charity funds or spare clothes or anything useful these days! I work in mental health and we have really poorly people who are sectioned on the streets and admitted straight to hospital with the clothes on their back. We have access to the cheapest toothpaste and brushes and some awful shampoo and that is it. We used to be able to lend people £5 but of course that has now stopped.0
