The teas's brewing, so I'll take that to the Small penguins, soon.
Had a real fright yesterday, half-listening to the radio and heard *plane crash* and *Beijing* - arrrgh - DH is in Beijing on his way home from China, I thought   Luckily it wasn't his flight, and no-one was seriously hurtbut it took a good 5 minutes for my heart to stop racing.
Making roasted red pepper and tomato soup today, and a green thai turkey curry with noodles and salad for tea.
Pile of ironing for later, and a dust and hoover round before the weekend.

Hello
Was off work yesterday with an IBS attack. Tummy's still sore, but have to make an appearance. Colleague just called me telling me to go home!! But I'll stay and get some work done. Might try and get out of my weekend shift though by swapping with someone.
Got a new phone the other day as my one died. Cheaper than they used to be which is good. But was still £40. I knew this expense was coming, so prepared for it.
That's about it in my life other than no movement on my flat yet. Think I'll call the estate agent and get them to kick the seller up the bum!!!
Hope everyone's okComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -
Morning all.
Hope you are all doing ok this horrible wet and windy morning!!!
Well its been 13.5 hours since last fag and feel ok, lots to get done today, including tracking down the smell in the kitchen, think it may be the fridge that has had it, but will look and clean everywhere again today before going to get a new one at end of month if we find out it is the fridge.
Right off to start cleaning got to keep busy whilst sucking on my mints!!!!!

Hi - it's me again. Just having a coffee.
It's not raining here at the moment but is still a bit gloomy. Roll on the spring. Things are budding in the garden if you look really closely so all hope is not lost!
PAM - I hope your aches ease today; it must be awful living with pain all the time. Both my sisters do. I have tendonitis in my hands but they don't hurt all the time so I'm lucky. Anyway, take it easy today.
BEEMUZED - Happy Birthday for yesterday. Like yours, my DH's work is usually intermittent this time of year but he has just started what we hope will be three months solid work. Since he's been self-employed, we've never been in that position just after Christmas. I hope your DH can find something steady soon.
HESTER - my grandchildren are my DS1's (from my first marriage) and my DH is brilliant with them. They love him and DGD has eyes for no-one else when he's around. It's lovely to watch them; they call him Grandad and he loves it!
FURRYPIG - you'll make such a difference to your friend in hospital with your kindness. Please send her (((hugs))) from me. Tell her about us - when she's out of hospital she could join us and it would help her feel she's amongst very good friends.
Well, I've promised myself I won't sit on here for hour on end - tempting though it really is. I want to get out pretty early - well, after the school run traffic. I'm going to one of my favourite shops, the wool shop. Fortunately, we still have a local one which is always busy so I hope it never closes down. I have tons of wool but still need to buy some for my next project which is a cabled handbag for DS2's GF's birthday. When that's done, I really will start using up my stash before I buy any more.!
Anyway, that's it - I'm off.
See you all later.
