Morning all. Just a quickie from me this am. Kids just gone off to call for their friends to go to school, I still feel cr*p today. As well as stomach cramps I'm freezing. OH says I don't feel cold to touch but I feel cold to me. He's gone off to w*rk now so it's just me at home now. Still supposed to be helping OH out at w*rk but tbh I feel like sh*t, so not sure what I'm gonna do yet. I'l see if another cuppa helps me feel any better.
Well done dlb-so far so good!!!
(((hugs))) for all who need or would like one. Hope all who are ill get well soon.

  • Morning all hope everyones day has started well so far. Guess what, rain here again today. Fed up with it now.
Just about to take kids to school. Then coming home to do a thorough degunge of house ready for the weekend. Kitchen floor needs cleaning, surfaces, cupboards. Boys bedrooms need freshening up and both bathrooms could do with a good scrubbing.
Then got to do a little food shopping, topping up on fresh stuff for the weekend. Hope i manage to get it all done before i run out of steam.
Hope you all have a good day.

  • Good morning all,

Beemuzed belated Happy Birthday wishes for yesterday.
Furrypig what a lovely thing to do for your friend. I'm sure she will be so appreciative of it.

Terrible night last night. Went to bed at 10.45 and was still awake, shivering, at 11.55. Ended up running out to the bathroom to fill the hot water bottle with water from the hot tap, to heat my feet up. Within 10 minutes I was out for the count. Still feel very tired though.

DS's bed is being delivered tomorrow so I need to make sure he has cleared enough space in his room for us to build it. It will be so good to reclaim some of my bedroom. I *really* want to look through the pressie stash to see what I have bought and what I need to buy. Made a good start though. Have quite a few birthday and Christmas pressies put away already.

W**k today - I get to put into practice what I learned on Wednesday (well that's the plan anyway. ) I just hope I can remember it all.

Almost no money left til payday so a stay-at-home weekend is planned, which is no bad thing.

    Have a fabulous Friday. xx

((((tattycath)))) get well soon. Sounds like that ache-y flu type bug. I didn't have too bad a cold with it, just felt so rough! I was freezing cold and my OH insisted I wasn't very hot to touch but I just kept up the paracetamol every 4 hours and either stayed in bed or made a bed on settee. Plenty of fluids to wash out the germs and plenty of rest!

Hugs to all others who are not well today.

I was so glad to get a call from DD eventually. Her plane had been trying to find a slot to land somewhere from 2 20 to 3.50 when they got in at gatwick. they had been told they were going to Manchester to begin with and she said the stewardesses were asking travellers where that was - it was Singapore Airlines and they didn't know diff places in UK apart from Heathrow. Anyway, as has been said, it is amazing that the other plane landed as safely as it did, especially when you look at the pics. DD's pilot just told them that they couldn't land at heathrow as there had been an incident and he kept coming back on to say sorry he didn't know anymore. She said the plane was very very quiet, that way where everyone is worried and obviously thought it had been something serious.
So.... she'll ring from her friend's with the train time today. I imagine she's jet lagged as she was 10 hours ahead in Australia.
Other plans - looks like a mizzz day weather-wise but will trot doggies out for a walk and then do some cooking.
The library emailed to say a book I've ordered is in so |I'll pop in for that.
Might even sort through some clothes at the bottom of the ironing pile to get another bag ready for the charity shop.
Hope everyone has a good day

ooh dlb - good for you with the no smoking - think how much difference you'll make to your health and your wallet!!!

    Good morning:D

PenPen, I thought of you when I heard about the plane, but thought your DH was back today, so didn't worry. It must have been a hairy few minutes for you ((((hugs))))

Horrible wet day again today, so I'll be doing nothing outside. Must clear the decks downstairs (at least!) SIL and her daughter and GDs here at lunchtime, which will be nice.

We had Christmas again at the Churchmouse home yesterday.:D The parcel DS1 and DIL sent from Canada on the 23rd November finally arrived! We'd given up hope of it getting here, given that it was sent air freight not slow boat :rotfl: It was a lovely brightener to a dull January day though.;)

    Best get started,

    CM x
