well just back from dropping off stuff at charity shop and the post office - and got totally and utterly soaked, from head to foot!!!! I hope that no-one else has rain like this - no wonder there are flood warnings in some parts of the country.

Was going to get stuck into some work - but think i'll dry out in front of this morning with a cuppa to warm up :D

    :rotfl: Morning all.
    Rain, rain and more rain......!!!!
Still, much calmer household this morning. Boy No.1 had quiet night in last night with no girlfriend, ex or otherwise and had gone to work.
    - boy no.2 whos brother came to sleep over watched dvd's and brother went off this morning -got himself up no problem.
Getting up was problem for me and OH...........we overslept and woke at 8.30am just at the time taxi picks up boy No 2 for school so I rushed downstairs to make sure taxi didn't go off without him. Boy No.2 went off with a grunt -not happy about rushing around but then nor was I.
Think yesterdays stress had taken its toll and complete wore me out !!
Hate waking up like that and having to rush about so two coffees and a listen to Wake up with Wogan and I felt I was more in the land of the living !
OH is off work today so gone to do weekly shop............and I'm having a 'me' day.................feel I've earnt it after yesterdays carrying on.
So no de-cluttering, no clearing bedroom..............it'll wait till tomorrow (yes, I know tomorrow never comes................lol) :rotfl:
But I intend to enjoy today and hope my energy levels come back to the surface............:T

Have a good day despite the rain and cold.

Hugs to all who need them ((((((((((((:o )))))))))))))))))))

It is pouring with rain here too.

Have pea and ham soup in the slow cooker so that should please DH- got a ham shank for £1.60 and used that. Smells really good.

Need to take DD (14) to the station tomorrow to visit her sister at uni - she is really looking forward to it.

Have just read the "eviction"thread on debt free wannabe and am appalled that we live in a country that would treat someone in such an appalling manner. Really hope she eventually gets fair treatment.

DH just come home so going to serve him the soup!

Elona that sounds so delicious and I have a ham shank in the freezer, can you point me in the direction of your recipe for making this in the slow cooker please? I thought I had it printed out but can't find it anywhere!:o

  • Forgot to say: PenPen - what a horrible few minutes for you. Hugs.

Dh had to take a plane on 12th Sept 2001 and I was a nervous wreck that day - I made him phone me as soon as his feet hit the terminal building.

    Morning all!

Been back to the doctors and have finally got antibiotics and some anti nausea tablets for spinning ear infection thingy- £13.70 on prescription charges!!! So much for a spend no money day!!

Also got a sick note for the rest of this week and next week, which is good, but has screwed up my meal planning as I had 4 late shifts planned over the next week, meaning OH could use up all the pork based products in the freezer that I don't eat!

Its dreary and rainy here too btw!

On a slightly separate issue, I'm thinking about buying half a lamb for the freezer! Does anybody else do this and if so where do they get their lamb from? I'm in Manchester if that is of any help at all!

    Afternoon...................((((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))) if you need one

Picked my friend up and we travelled to the garden centre, very nice staff, no quibble, they asked if I wanted gift vouchers, but I siad I would have a look round and get something. Ended up with a pair of clogs for the allotment a gardeners belt for OH and a bar of chocolate to share.

It managed to stay dry whilst we were out and inspite of the overcast sky, so some really lovely scenery, the roads were not too bad, some were slightly flooded, but the fields were very wet.

Just had our lunch two boiled eggs and brad and butter, we have gammon tonight.

I have an order for a couple of cards so going to get those done this afternoon, tomorrow OH is playing in a bowls match, so will be sorting out fabric for making up for the craft sale we are doing. Then I can see what I might need to get from the fabric warehouse, I know I will need some fabric because I used up quite a bit for last years Christmas presents.

We are still waiting for the annuity payment, if, as they say it was, they sent it on Satrday it should be showing in our bank account by now, it takes 3 days for a BACS payment. OH is getting very annoyed now. He has been on to them again this morning...............

(((Hugs))) to Mrs_M, Pen-Pin and anyone else not feeling great. Hope your wet weather stops soon, Wish I could send you some sun.

Pen-Pen - glad DH wasn't on the plane and whoevers daughter it was (sorry really having to scan read with dial up).

Keep going dlb. I agree with the thoughts from last night that patches or gum must be better than the ciggies for however long it takes.

Boots was a flop, so didn't get anything, will try earlier if I can but dial up doesnt help.

Just lost connection again, luckily I had copied this before hitting enter.
