:hello: :hello: :hello: :hello: :hello: :hello: :hello: :hello: :hello: :hello: :hello: :hello: :hello: :hello: :hello: :hello: :hello:
Hello to everyone.
Thank you taplady in particular for my waves.
I hope everyone is coping with all this rain and terrible weather. What a start to 2008.
Well I have been reading but not posting as loads has come up which has needed our attention -- too much to go into but sadly a lot very sad and troubled.
On the os front we are trying really hard to keep on track and especially concentraye on simplifying and decluttering our life.
Freezer challenge underway
2nd car sold  That has thrown up a few challenges as our sunshine bus is still in Spain awaiting our return to Spain at the end of Jan.
Thinking really carefully about extra spends-- mantra of " do we reaklly need this -- or just want it "
Avoiding all the shops and not getting caught in the sale frenzy -- it has saved us sooooooo much money. But I am missing it. I am a little bit tired of trying to match the gift to the person rather than the person to the gift.
I am going to make more home made this yera as we are time rich
So I send gentle wishes to everyone who needs them. Donny Gal so sorry to hear about your dad. My lovely FIL who would hav loved to share our time in Spain, died very tragically of a brain tumour before he could come and we miss him every day.
Congratulations to all those who are feeling on top of the world or celebrating.Try and do a good deed every day.0 -
Morning everyone
Hope everyone is having a good morning so far ? I was up late today so not a great start to the day. Sons at school now and so i am getting caught up.
Its raining here againDH put a washing line up in the garage yesterday. So i can at least hang some washing to dry,so not using the airer and TD so much
Luckily the garage is attatched to the house .So not getting wet for me
Not sure whats for tea today. I have to go dig in the freezer and then do a menu plan. Along with writing just what i have in there.
Hugs to everyone who needs them

HariboJunkie wrote: »PenPin....You haven't mentioned your chickens recently. I do hope they're ok.
I thought I had posted about them. 2 died and the other 2 have gone to stay with friends who have other chickens and they are getting on well. Our local fox was terrorising them by laying on the coot at night even though we had one of those electrical deterents (sp). It wasnt fair on them, so we thought it best to let them have a happy life. We dont seem to do well with animals-do we!
Thanks for asking HJ. Great bargains BTW and hope Dtwin2 feels better soon.

Morning all, children at school, not raining here YET. Am going for a bike ride this am. WM on. Boys have requested beans on toast with sausages for dinner tonight so that will be nice and easy.
Hoping if it does rain that it is a little kinder than it has been.
Cleaned our bedroom from top to bottom last night and it was lovely to go into a nice clean bedroom with clean sheets and smelling of furniture polish. Won't last, DH comes in, lets one drop and then wonders why I can't sleep without the window open. Then he insists on snoring very loudly all night:rotfl:
Good job he's my soul mate otherwise he'd be out!
Hope you all have a good day. Will read the thread now and pop back later for a nosy.Proud to have dealt with my debts. Nerd number 288:j Debt free date Dec 07 :EasterBun

Good morning:D
I'll just climb out of the breadmaker for a few minutes then Haribo :rotfl: Actually I was just very busy yesterday and didn't get on until way too late to bother posting:p Hope Dtwin2 feels better soon. Give the little angel a ((((hug)))) from me:D
Welcome home SOMO1 ! What Aussie forgot to say is she is still messing with (mis)quoting other people's posts, making me scroll back to check again:rotfl: :rotfl:
Getting my hair cut today, I won't like it, I never do! I haven't got the face for haircuts:rolleyes: Still needs must, I look like I've been dragged through a hedge at the moment:o
DH is doing his jury service. Well actually no, he's sitting bored out of his mind, having done three full days of not getting onto a jury yet:rotfl: Got close the other day, got sworn-in as a juror at the end of a day, to be discharged next morning without doing anything:D Other than that, zilch!! I do think it's poor the way his time is considered so worthless it just doesn't matter that he's not being used. He'll go stir-crazy if this keeps up for a fortnight! Because he took early retirement, he doesn't even get any *pay* for going there. Still it could be worse, it could be me sat there instead;)
((hugs)) to Ronankfan and Donny-gal. Dementia is vile. My mum died nearly 2 years ago, and was getting a bit confused, but that was because the cancer had got to her brain, so not dementia-like. She knew us all, just got confused about odd things, but i was lucky, she was still *my mum* until the end, which was very quick. I can't imagine the pain you go through, especially Ronankfan, with your mum being so isolated within herself.
I shall be making a lovely beef stroganoff today. Got some rump steak reduced so it will be a cheapish meal:D Of course I shall put the BM on:rotfl:
stefejb hope you're practising non-breathing and non-movement for DD's torchwood:rotfl: Just think comatose, that should suit her;) (actually I have been guilty of telling DH he breathes too loudly on occasion:o )
Well best get started, bye for now

Am sat here at work with tears running down my face - not a good look! My boiler packed up 2 weeks ago and am waiting for the powers that be to decide whether they can justify paying out for a new one, which to me is a bit of a no brainer - if it is broken surely you replace it. That's the military system for you! I was told on Monday that approval had been given and it had gone to sub-contractor for them to contact me to arrange installation. Well I have just phoned to find out what's happening and it seems as though someone has been telling porkies! The bloke on the phone couldn't even confirm that it has been approved!
I shouted at DS8 last night because I had just got my electric bill, having to use electric heaters and the immersion for hot water and it is through the roof. He was sick in the night and I have sent him to school cause it is warmer there but I know they will send him home.
I am at my wits end. Sorry to go on but I just needed to get it out of my system.0 -
Morning all ...............well what a day so far and thats without the pouring rain that seems never ending !
Last night (don't know what time) one of the lads we care for decides to creep out and sneak in a 'new' girlfriend having told the old one he just wanted a 'bit of a break'. So I get up this morning, find he hasn't gone to work. He comes down and says something about tripping over in his room and banging his ribs..............needs to see doctor -told him to ring for an appt.but he didn't..............ummmm...........something not right here.
So I venture upstairs and lo and behold............there lays this girl !!!!!! Little bit of 'what do you think you're doing ?' etc. and they come downstairs blabbing on about having been together for a month, now they're moving in together with her three children by her previous marriage (still actually married).................she's 23.........our lad's 17 !!! Ex girlfriend who doesn't actually realise she's an 'ex' comes up and she's crying her socks off bless her then while I'm taking a phone call from someone our lad sneaks the lad in who stole his dads car on Sunday and ended up in a shop window (well over alcohol limit). I tell him to get out and he asks me why ?????????
Still much carryings on with car thief now chucked out of home (no-one says why) and our lad has said it'll be ok because he's moving out with this new girlfriend and 'car thief' can stay with them !!!!!!!!!
Ex girlfriend is coming up an half eleven and will I make sure present girlfriend is not around !!!! Oh eck...................was going to go through my bedroom this morning..................no chance now. All plans to do whatever I planned are right out the window................Phew !!!! Feel better for getting that out my system................................lol (No need to watch Eastenders with our household !)
Hugs to all who need them (((((((:o ))))))))))))))))
Have a good day and stay dry..............................................:jMary
I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !

Morning all :hello: :hello:
Love all the dog stories - I had a gorgeous shar pei who would certainly take any obvious opportunities to steal food but his most revolting habit would be to munch his way through my knee high tights which of course he could not digest so then I would be out on a lovely country walk with him only to have to remove them when they ended up hanging out of his bum   sorry not nice if you are having and early lunch:D
Lots to get through today as I have 2 mse visitors this weekend so better make sure my loo is clean, everything is [STRIKE]shoved in cupboards [/STRIKE]neatly tidied away and my bathroom swished:D
One bit of good kitchen news - the company I bought the vinyl from have agreed that the difference between the kitchen and the utility is too much and so are coming this afternoon to rip it up and lay a whole new piece so that will save having to clean the floor:rotfl:still no sign of the kitchen fitter though:mad:
Had some sausages in the fridge that were one day out of date so have done a "chuck in everything I can think of" casserole which is currently in the SC and smelling gorgeous:j
Right best get on as the to do list has got no shorter this morning yet:rolleyes:
hugs to all
