At least you know what I'm on about. Your price-match t&c are different and I've explained that many times - post five on my thread some time ago now in an attempt to deal with it just once!

The Virgin sim will be as you say - however, since they have now adopted the OSPS way of doing things I doubt the months will be as E2Save used them. Won't make much difference provided you got a bill in month one if you understand what I'm saying! cpw itself has just one claim so is easier.

I have a feeling my cashback will be rejected as I posted it day after next months bill was generated. e.g.

    Bill 21 Dec 07
    180 Days 31 Dec
    Sent 21 Jan 08
    bill 20 Jan 08

Is there any chance of me taking them to court?

Can someone tell me under what people have been taking e2save to court over successfully?

    thanks
  • If you read the many threads on this you will find the answers. No need to worry about court at this stage but you have to know what you're doing.
  • Could someone help as am totally confused with e2save t&c's. Took out contract with them on 20th august 2007, basically 7 months free, - I should receive £49.02 back at months 6, 8, 10 and 12. Have checked my account and it states different times, one page says to send month 6 claim in January 2008, however on offer info it states to claim 6 months from connection date, i.e. 180 days after connection, which would mean 20th january. My bills are dated 25th of each month, do I send dec 25th bill in (which is very nearly 28 days old) now, or do I wait for januarys bill and send in straight away. Am going to try and call tomorrow, but wondered if anyone here could advise, as if it is december, I will need to send off tomorrow to be in with any chance of the recieving in in the 28 day period. Sorry to rant, but really need to clarify this!

Two people have asked in two hours. Whilst I have helped many it's impossible to spend all my time on here working out individual dates for everyone. You've both have months to work it out. Follow the legal t&c for your contract at the time and they will pay, one way or 'toher.

sorry, didn't expect individual help just some advice as to what others have done. As I stated according to my t&c, I am told two different dates so do not know which one to send. I will call e2save today and hopefully clarify situation.

  • Impossible to give advice of what others have done - there are many different situations (just about all of which have been covered many times over on the relevant threads) and lots of specific dates which are relevant to a particular case. They give out LOTS of misinformation (also covered many times on here). There are also several sets of legal t&c depending on each case. There is only one legal set of t&c - the on-line detailed ones which were there at the time but which may have been "doctored" since.

Ok. IF yours is a so-called price-match contract and I assume it's 12 months it means that LEGALLY you must send the first bill which arrives after 18th December within one month of it's date. HOWEVER, they aren't using the legal t&c (READ THE POSTS!!!) so it's already TOO LATE and they will now refuse not only this but all subsequent claims. Find and read Wolfman amongst others; you will have to submit the bill as stated above, wait for the get lost letter, send an LBA and then (if they don't cough up) SUE.

NOW; since your was just 7 months free it may well NOT be a price-match contract. If so, you need to send ANY bill which is not more than 28 days old when it arrives there between dates roughly 6 months after connection and within 30 days of that date. THAT means claiming with a qualifying bill (as just stated) between ABOUT 20th FEBRUARY and 30th March.

DON'T do ANY cashback deals UNLESS you follow the groundrules:-

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=558661&page=1

I hope that you appreciate that this takes a long time to work out when a) people keep asking you to do it for them and b) it's not my contract - and I am looking after a lot of others which are (or for my friends). Also, most of the answers have already been given and having taken some time and trouble to give them isn't it fair to expect people to read them rather than retype them 100 times? Follow the groundrules on that thread or don't do a cashback deal.
  • Many thanks for your help, I know that my deal is not a pricematch deal so hopefully I may have a chance! Have tried to call but they will not discuss with me as account is under my husbands name! Was certatin that bill did not have to be sent in until next month, it has just thrown me when on their website it says to send the bill in in January. Phone was not ordered until 20th August, so cannot see how this is right, is definetely not 180 days after connection.Hopefully I can get this cleared up today and find out for definite. Thanks again, much appreicated!

  • I wouldn't put too much weight on anything they tell you by phone. If it's not a price-match deal the dates I gave you are correct.
